So many dogs have been turned back in the last few years, being acquired to relieve boredom during Covid and now becoming "disposable", I actually applaud the rescues for wanting to make sure these dogs get their forever homes the first time with careful assessments. A GOOD rescue will not try to put a dog with issues with people who don't know how to deal with them. Registered breeders would be the same and even more strict where their dogs go, backyard breeders of course don't care. The rescues that don't take the time to do proper assessments are just dog broker's in my eyes.

When I adopted Max I knew what I was looking for, and it was the other way around... I grilled the rescue with a few pages of questions and wanted specific answers. I was an oddity but it sure paid off. xox

IT’s armistice day and I’ve been watching the laying of the wreathes lead by King Charles. I was gobsmacked for nearly 2 hrs. Wendy and myself were watts aping, backwards and forward. I think it’s meant more to me this year than before, and I’ve always watched it. I’m thinking of the wars that are going on to kill the 🌎 earth 🌏. I’m getting older just like us all, and I wonder how these very old soldiers etc, managed to walk the length that had to today to get to 🐎 horse 🐴 guards 💂 parade…. I was very proud of being British. Well done all of them. There were a few of them over 💯 yrs old.

I’ve not done much, but after all it’s Sunday. I did some laundry 🧺 and watched tv 📺 with Wendy via the watts app. Then I did some crosswords. So it’s time for me to eat…..Wendy worries about eating, or not as the case maybe. I know she’s worried about her health, but I’m there for her, she knows that. Wish I could ease her mind.

Back to the grind tomorrow. S and b at noon 🕛 I was showing Josephine my squares for prem babies. I think she was pleased I was indeed knitting. She tries so hard to encourage me, and I do appreciate her. Just like I do appreciate you all, friends mean more when we get older.

I go on a bus 🚎 trip on Wednesday to castle Howard to see the Christmas lights. Then Wendy’s on Thursday instead of Wednesday this week.

Well 🇬🇧 UK Hs more floods and property damage last night. I understand it’s been terrible where purple lives, but I must admit we’ve ha next to nothing in the NE where I live. Suppose to b storm Cerian or Kearin. Hope S and S are ok on board the ship ⛴️. I think tomorrow is their last full day.

I had a ‘me’ day. Sudoku, crosswords and watched the news 🗞️ on 📺 tv. Haven’t seen anyone, which is just what I fancied. Sometimes it’s nice 👍. Cassie has broken my clothes airer so that’s one job for Stephen. WS talking with Ruhr last night. He’s not seeing much of anyone this week. Matthew seems to b on the grave yard shift so he’s not in when Richard gets in from work. .I’m glad to tell you that my bad mood has up and gone. Sorry about that.
