So many dogs have been turned back in the last few years, being acquired to relieve boredom during Covid and now becoming "disposable", I actually applaud the rescues for wanting to make sure these dogs get their forever homes the first time with careful assessments. A GOOD rescue will not try to put a dog with issues with people who don't know how to deal with them. Registered breeders would be the same and even more strict where their dogs go, backyard breeders of course don't care. The rescues that don't take the time to do proper assessments are just dog broker's in my eyes.

When I adopted Max I knew what I was looking for, and it was the other way around... I grilled the rescue with a few pages of questions and wanted specific answers. I was an oddity but it sure paid off. xox

IT’s armistice day and I’ve been watching the laying of the wreathes lead by King Charles. I was gobsmacked for nearly 2 hrs. Wendy and myself were watts aping, backwards and forward. I think it’s meant more to me this year than before, and I’ve always watched it. I’m thinking of the wars that are going on to kill the 🌎 earth 🌏. I’m getting older just like us all, and I wonder how these very old soldiers etc, managed to walk the length that had to today to get to 🐎 horse 🐴 guards 💂 parade…. I was very proud of being British. Well done all of them. There were a few of them over 💯 yrs old.

I’ve not done much, but after all it’s Sunday. I did some laundry 🧺 and watched tv 📺 with Wendy via the watts app. Then I did some crosswords. So it’s time for me to eat…..Wendy worries about eating, or not as the case maybe. I know she’s worried about her health, but I’m there for her, she knows that. Wish I could ease her mind.

Back to the grind tomorrow. S and b at noon 🕛 I was showing Josephine my squares for prem babies. I think she was pleased I was indeed knitting. She tries so hard to encourage me, and I do appreciate her. Just like I do appreciate you all, friends mean more when we get older.

Love yawl, stay safe, I’m having some choc Swiss roll tonight and yogurt, NOT in the same bowl 🥣. Let’s have a good week with each other, hope it’s all trouble free. I go on a bus 🚎 trip on Wednesday to castle Howard to see the Christmas lights. Then Wendy’s on Thursday instead of Wednesday this week.

Hugs to those that need one or you can have one anyway. Xxx

We watched the Cenotaph service too. It was very moving, especially when all the religious leaders were together. Makes you so proud to be British. Xx

Good evening from a dry but cold Surrey. Having a quiet weekend after a busy week.

Very proud if my son, as once again he carried the Tricolor at his village's Armistice Day parade.

My girls are calling in tomorrow for brunch.

Have a great weekend everyone. Love and hugs all round xxx

Well 🇬🇧 UK Hs more floods and property damage last night. I understand it’s been terrible where purple lives, but I must admit we’ve ha next to nothing in the NE where I live. Suppose to b storm Cerian or Kearin. Hope S and S are ok on board the ship ⛴️. I think tomorrow is their last full day.

I had a ‘me’ day. Sudoku, crosswords and watched the news 🗞️ on 📺 tv. Haven’t seen anyone, which is just what I fancied. Sometimes it’s nice 👍. Cassie has broken my clothes airer so that’s one job for Stephen. WS talking with Ruhr last night. He’s not seeing much of anyone this week. Matthew seems to b on the grave yard shift so he’s not in when Richard gets in from work. .I’m glad to tell you that my bad mood has up and gone. Sorry about that.

Stay safe, love your partners, keep away from the storms if you can, I would imagine it’s been bad where saxy is as well. Hope you’re all feeling good today. Love yawl xx

Hi Stranger! Sorry about your hips, will you have them replaced one day? xoxox

Hi Trish, it's not only hips. Right knee and feet are not good either. So atm not planning on replacements. I'm finding other stuff to do apart from walking. Lots of swimming and kayaking gets me outside in the fresh air and beautiful scenery. Good for the soul as well as the body. How are you and your gorgeous pup doing? Lots of love and hugs xxx

How wonderful to hear from you. When you say walking is no longer a good idea I presume you mean long-distance? I'm sorry to hear that. You enjoyed those long walks.

Hi Janet, how are things with you? I can only walk very short distances now and have to use a walking stick as my hips have a habit of giving way. I m fine from the waist up and still keeping pretty active with swimming and kayaking. As usually I have a thousand and one craft projects on the go. We now go to France several times a year as my son has converted a barn into a apartment for us. Love and hugs xx

Good afternoon from rainy Surrey. Sorry I have been absent for so long.

Now our place is finished in France we have been to and fro quite a bit over the summer. I t has been so lovely to see more of the family and we are hgoing back for Christmas.

I am keeping well and fit, but have been told by my specialist that walking is no longer a good idea. I continue to swim 3 times a week and now go kayaking weekly, which is a great way to get outside and exercise. In France my son and I kayaked down one of the tributaries of the Loire.

I'm still busy with my crafts and have done quite a bit of patchwork, applique and embroidery.

Think of you all often and hope you are all doing ok.

Luv n hugs xxxxxx
