Never had one of those on our farm. Nice picture and thanks for sharing.

I would think it is probably one of a kind. I take in several antique farm equipment shows every year and in all my years I have never seen another like it.

I saw this tractor at a farm show. Real glossy paint. Looks like a lot of thought had gone into this project.

Truck or tractor?

I do believe it is an Oliver, model 60 or 70. These were produced back in the late 30's and 40's I think.

Great pictures! Lots of history. DO you know what the tractor is. Kind of looks like an early Farmall, maybe an F20 or 30?

I like your shots. Being an old farm boy I like old barns and like to walk through them and see what hidden treasures they hold. SO many memories, etc. Thanks for sharing.

Living in and loving Montana, I always have my camera with me, trying to get photos that show why I love living here.

This a great series of shots. Love the barns. Looks like very beautiful country.

I love pictures of the old worn down buildings. Makes you think about what their story might have been. And yes I agree with you about what the original owners of the barn may think about what's across the street.

Oh the history in that old barn. Great Shot!!

I am completely new to digital photography and am having a hard time picking a system. My interest is rather broad based - portrait, macro and landscape. My choices seem to be between Canon and Nikon, but which one and why?

This is not going to be easy to get an unbiased opinion here. WE all including me have chosen a specific brand because of our personal likes and dislikes for camera gear. I myself have had 2 Nikons and now I have Canon. I wasted a lot of money and wished I had been more intelligent about my choice from the start. I am now very happy with my choice of Canon. This battle of which is best between Canon and Nikon and Sony will rage on through the years as we as the battle between pickup trucks of Chevy, Dodge and Ford. Oh yes I drive a Tundra.

Was out shooting this weekend and came across a couple of barns that I thought were interesting.

I like your photos. Barns are a beautiful part of our American Heritage.

I was stunned to see the bright blue of the new roof on this old barn. :) But I like it.

I like old barns. Very nice shot. Don't think I have ever seen one with a blue roof and as blue as it is. Sure does stand out. Nice job.

Do you have the Canon DPP software that came with your 7D? You can load pictures such as this example and zoom 50 / 100 / 200%. The screen capture posted may have lost some resolution, but I could see the hair in the fur at 100%. To be still sharper with your lens, try a smaller aperture such as f/8. I've highlighted the EXIF details and the single focus point. As mentioned by others, the focus should be on the eyes. To get the neck and ear, you'll definitely need more depth of field from a smaller aperture.

I greatly appreciate your input. I have so much to learn and I do like photography. I had shot this using a Tamron lens and I am not totally pleased with it.

Now there's some awesome aftermarket accessorizing!

That is correct. I saw this at the Farm Progress Show held at Decatur Illinois this year. The tires and wheels probably weigh more than the tractor itself. I took this picture with a Canon SX50HS. It looks fairly sharp to me.

Focus on the neck might be a little sharper than on the face. It looks pretty good, but I don't think it is tack sharp.

Thanks for your input. Might be of the lens I used. It was a Tamron 70 - 300 on a Canon 7D. Think this might be the case?
