The fact that he posed for this shot speaks to the caring personality within that gruff exterior. And, yes, that is one awesome "meat hook" he has there.
Wonderful portrait.

Ahh, the old "pump handle." Great shot. I've seen one of these birds only three or four times (never when toting a camera), but I hear them quite often in the early spring mornings. Their camouflage is peerless, and they are known to stand erect with beak pointing skyward and sway in the wind like the reeds around them. A very cleaver bird.

Great shot of a most-interesting plant. The only time I ever saw a sundew was during a visit to a to sphagnum moss bog while in college. I was given to believe the sundew was unique to that habitat...looks like I was misled.

I'm looking for the rope swing. That's one beautify specimen ... perfect white oak shape beautifully captured. Thanks for sharing.

Stunning images. The close-ups give me goosebumps (sorry). I can almost feel the energy. What a sight. I'm jealous.

Like the prize on the bottom of the crackerjack box - don't you just love it when you click open that file and realize you got something extra. The caramel corn would have been good enough (and certainly is in this shot), but that "prize" makes it really special. Congrats! Great shot.

I know it's coming off Superior, but the images are definitely "Eerie." (pun intended)
Nice captures.

Looks like Tim did pretty good that day. That's a nice pile of fillets.
Fun shot.

All are fabulous, but the one of the brown creeper is beyond special.

Super portrait of a truly elegant bird. (I think the white stuff you see is evidence of their frequent preening)

Great images all. The last is my favorite - the back glow is priceless.
