It does not have the proper emblem on the nose for a CleTrac. If the emblem on the upper radiator was more visible we might tell. Every Cletrac I was around had the name spelled out on the upper radiator cover. This one looks like it has an emblem and not a name.

If you look on the side near where the track rolls over the front trunnion you can see HD then the number 7 underneath. That is definitive proof that it is an Allis Chalmers not a Cletrac. It took some close scrutiny to see this.

It could very well be an Allis Chalmers but it definitely not an International. On the nose it looks like it is a 3 Allis did have an H3 and HD3 and on up.

I would be more inclined to think #1 was a t 14 or t 18 International. I don't think it is a Diesel.

Don't think so. I am fairly sure it is a Cletrac (CleaveLand Tractor). They ended up with Oliver I believe.

Nice shots.

Good shots. Since I am an old farm boy the 1st one strikes me best. I think, but no sure that it is a Cletrac.

win 8, forced on us,, sucks.

Amen to that .. I took the plunge and went to a Mac. If the performance had not been so poor for Win * I would have not done so. Since switching, I am so much happier and have zero problems. A learning curve I have had to go through and a couple of very small negatives with the new EXCEL I have no desire to go back to Windows.

Apple has decided to go the dual OS route and on their next advance of the OS, they are going to add the cloud, store, an tiles to their productivity machines.

Guess who they got the idea from????

Microsoft and Apple have been trading ideas for decades. Nobody seems to be able to figure it out.

Look for Apple to become Windows 8 for more money. I read and do my homework.

Actually mine is set up to run either but I am very happy with Apples OS. It has the cloud too not that I use it yet. The OS was mountain lion when I purchased it and I have upgraded it to Mavericks.

You are slowly convincing me that this Tamron lens would be one I would like to add to my arsenal. I do have another lens from Tamron. It is 70 - 300. I have been viewing your pictures you have been taking with this lens and I think from what I have read it will fit on my 7D. Would this be correct?

After suffering with a rather arduous learning curve with Microsoft 8 which came on my new dell computer (Amazon lied, they told me it had 7, they even supposedly checked with Dell to confirm), I came to one conclusion, Microsoft 8 sucks. I'm glad I kept my old XP computer at least I can still use it off line.
I think that rather than worrying about how many toilets there are in Africa, Bill Gates should go back to Seattle and design a decent operating system.
Pete

When I 1st saw Windows 8 I thought this would be great and purchased a new laptop using it. At the same time I thought I would purchase 8pro for my 7 desktop. Long story short I HATE 8!! I never installed 8 pro. Should never have purchased until I had used the new laptop for awhile. I fought with the new laptop for a few months and finally decided I need to take a long term cure for my on going computer issues with Win 8. I parted with it for a fraction of what I had paid for it and purchased a MAC PRO laptop. I have never been happier other than the initial cost. I have not had one problem with it since I got it. People used to complain how poor Windows Vista was but it would be perfect as compared to Windows 8. There has been a learning curve for the MAC but I won't be replacing it anytime soon. All I can say is I should have made the switch sooner.

Nice shot countryman, might I presume this is a show tractor?

Yes it is a show tractor and would not be used for any heavy farm work. Strictly for show as far as I know. I saw this in 2010 at the Central States Threshermans Reunion. They will have tractors that have been restored and some in their original condition. Most equipment manufacturers have produced special paint schemes for one reason or another. Fo example very early 50's International Harvester had painted some tractors mainly white for demonstrators. IH had painted their tractors red starting back into the mid 30's when the F-20 on the market although when it 1st came out was grey. Massey Ferguson has a combine out with the USA flag on its sides.

It's in good shape for a '76.

I can't honestly say it has not been repainted, what I meant was it came from the factory painted the way it is in the picture. I have seen this tractor at Pontiac Illinois and again at Penfield Illinois.

Long time one of my favorites having a strong love for farm tractors. Being built in 1976 came straight from the factory this way. It is a Case 1570. A true powerhouse during it's time.
