You can drive down any farm to market road and still see old barns, but they are in poor condition and will eventually be gone.

This picture was taken on a day that the sky was over cast, no sun. I used a Sony A300 DSLR with a vintage (1985) Minolta 28-85mm f3.5-4.5 lens. Settings: f8, 1/80 sec., ISO 100, Aperture Priority Mode. Tejaswrangler :)

Beautiful photo but what a shame about the old barn/s.

Shaka, I often feel the same way. After I take the picture, on occasion I will linger a while longer trying to imagine what it was like back in the days that the old barn or house was being used. Tejaswrangler :)

We do not have the opportunity to photograph this type of architecture here in Australia. These old missions look fabulous.

Ernest, thanks for viewing these pictures. I and many others would love to visit Australia and take some pictures. Australia has a proud people, and a colorful past, lots of opportunity to take some great pictures. Tejaswrangler :)

Logos, I know what you mean, but all you can do is take a big breath, pray, and hope for the best. I can just imagine what the poor folks in Oklahoma must have felt during the Dust Bowl days many years ago. Tejaswrangler :)

Mission Concepcion was established in the mid 1700's, over two hundred years ago. It is one of five missions in the greater San Antonio area, the most famous being the Alamo where over 186 Texans lost their lives.

I took this picture with a Sony A300 DSLR and a Sony 18-70mm lens, f11, 1/320 sec., ISO 100, and Aperture Priority Mode. Tejaswrangler :)

I that hay on the back?

Hello Pat, yes, that is hay in the back of the old truck. I have often wondered what happened to the motor. Next time I am in that area, I think that I will stop and visit with the folks, see if I can get some information. Old things like this fascinate me. Tejaswrangler :)

If this old truck could talk, it could probably tell some good stories. Some folks just a tab East of San Antonio has this old truck displayed in their front pasture next to their driveway. I thought it was kinda neat and decided to take a picture of it. Difficult picture for me to take due to harsh lighting, shadows, and etc.

Picture was taken with a Sony A200 DSLR and a vintage Minolta 28-85mm lens, f7.1, 1/100 sec., ISO 100, and Aperture Priority Mode. Tejaswrangler :)
