Mission Concepcion was established in the mid 1700's, over two hundred years ago. It is one of five missions in the greater San Antonio area, the most famous being the Alamo where over 186 Texans lost their lives.

I took this picture with a Sony A300 DSLR and a Sony 18-70mm lens, f11, 1/320 sec., ISO 100, and Aperture Priority Mode. Tejaswrangler :)

Interesting architecture on all of these old missions!
Especially, around the main doors!
Do you have more on this one that you can post?
Pat

I need to go back!.....

We do not have the opportunity to photograph this type of architecture here in Australia. These old missions look fabulous.

I've seen the Alamo and thought it was the only mission there. Thanks for sharing photo and information. Well done.

Hello Hal81, I think that regular church services are still being held in some of the Missions, and if so, maybe they have weddings there too, just not sure. Thanks for viewing the pictures. Tejaswrangler :)
