I've seen the Alamo and thought it was the only mission there. Thanks for sharing photo and information. Well done.

Mission Concepcion was established in the mid 1700's, over two hundred years ago. It is one of five missions in the greater San Antonio area, the most famous being the Alamo where over 186 Texans lost their lives.

I took this picture with a Sony A300 DSLR and a Sony 18-70mm lens, f11, 1/320 sec., ISO 100, and Aperture Priority Mode. Tejaswrangler :)

It is amazing how many folks are not aware of there being five missions in San Antonio. I am glad that you enjoyed the pictures, much appreciated. Tejaswrangler :)

Sad scene there.

Dixiegirl, it is best to get up each morning with a smile on your face, and move forward in meeting the challenges of life. This drought will eventually end and good times will return. Tejaswrangler :)

Excellent shot,it would be nice to see this old car renovated to it's former glory.

That would be nice, but it is missing lots of parts, even the engine is gone. The other day, I saw a restored Model A Ford pickup truck going down the road, would loved to have owned it. Tejaswrangler :)

All of these were taken in Bon Secour, AL, a small shrimping community with a lot of "atmosphere".

The snow babies came in for a short while, Guess they had enough snow to eat so they weren't very thirsty.
I've included a double set of 3 bucks making their way through the wire, since it was mentioned a few weeks back.
The path of least resistance is what they chose.

Bob, I love taking pictures of old farm vehicles, especially old tractors. Often you will find them abandoned in a pasture or behind an old barn. Tejaswrangler :)

Colorado is as bad.
Hay last i priced it was $15 a bale, no matter which type you purchased. Corn is also $15 a bag.

WOW! At $15 per bale, that makes hay price over $400 per ton. Figure 2 tons per cow over a winter.....

ace-mt, many ranchers are selling or reducing the size of their herds, not cost effective to feed the cows and make a profit with the high price of hay. Tejaswrangler :)
