I shoot them because they are there, and anything ancient enough to be older than me, deserves to have it's picture taken

Which is better: Color or B&W? or Neither?

Canon 50D Lens: 18-55 @18mm
ISO 400 f10 ss=1/400 Off-camera Flash was used.

Any comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

B & W overall looks best except the detail on the trucks door shows better detail. Color looks HDR..

Snow just seems to make everything prettier.

Hmmmmmm ...... that is true but as they say beauty is ONLY skin deep... In this case is only on the surface.....

Obviously you didn't go and do the fee install of WIN8.1 from the MS website or you would have found it much easier to maneuver around within the system. And "classic shell' even makes it more like WIN7.
I really dislike MICROSOFT's arrogance in not informing customers about alternatives to using a touch screen though. Seems Balmer just wanted his severance package.

I purchased it for what it was advertised as, not to go back to something I had already. I wasted a lot of money but long story short I am very happy with what I have now and so far has been absolutely problem free. I could have done something like my brother did, but if that was the case I might have just saved my money from the start and stayed with both of my windows 7 computers. That is all history now and at this time I cannot see me ever going back to a windows operating system. My MAC Pro laptop is fast, trouble free and is very easy on battery. With the retna display is less tiring on the eyes. I did however had to update two application softwares, MS Office and my CAD software which both operate a little differently and look slightly different but hey I like to learn new things even at my age... :)

Well Countryman... it is a whole lot better looking at those great pictures instead of slogging a couple of miles cause you got your car/truck stuck in a drift... haha..

Mike

Point well taken Mike! Since I am an old farm boy but now live in town I have a little Massey Ferguson tractor and loader I spent numerous hours moving snow for neighbors, (no charge) for the shear enjoyment of it. Happy to get the tractor out of the shed and put it to work but happy to get back inside and warm up. Best of both worlds....... I think :)

I bought a new laptop and desktop. They both had Win 8. After a month of frustration, and hair pulling, I got Two editions of Win 7 Pro. Took both computers to my local computer Guru, and Voila, I now have two new computers with Win 7 Pro. I likeum mo better this way.

My brother did what you did for the same reason, however with my frustration with win 8 I chose to go with a MAC Pro. Never been happier when it comes to a computer that is. When I 1st had purchased the laptop with win 8 I also had purchased win 8 Pro software to install on my win 7 desktop, but after 2 weeks with working with it and the frustration growing everyday I chose not to install the 8 pro on the desk top and bought the MAC pro. Expensive yes. I now have $200 windows 8 pro software setting new in a box to me is worthless. Not much truth in advertising.
