Do not get too close, in their line of sight when they are putting, no flash, always kneel, do not walk onto the greens
I always use 200 or 400 ISO, and Av setting.
Sand shots are great. Wear sneakers.

Thanks Snowbear. I will try your methods. I have a Canon 50D and was using Av mode. I haven't tried post yet, but is it your opinion that it's best to just do post gray card method?

I tried to focus but camera would not take the photo.

First of all, how could you take a photo request from a 9 year old?
Always ask, who, what, when and where do you want this done.
Will the parents be paying for this?

Will you be in a studio using light set-UPS?

Head shots are done from the waist up generly. :-D
