If you have been on Tom's Hardware you would read many horror stories on win8 in there forum before win8 even came out. All their recommendations, don't get it, it's a terrible OS, can't live without the start button, problems with drivers, metro ui on and on.
I dual boot my computer, win7 on one drive win8 on another, makes it easier to get use to 8 at your on pace.
When 8.1 comes out, I will decide whether to go all 8 or
stick with 7. It's a learning curve for 8 but you will get it.
It is faster than 7, as stable if no more than 7, works very
well once you get use to it, all the horror are unfounded.
This is my first foray into Canon cameras, I have had most-
ly Nikons. I really like the Canon pictures more than I did
the Nikon, they really pop out more. I think I just need a
better lens, get away from the kit lenses, the sharpness is
just not there to my satisfaction. A good 1.4 prime lens
would be perfect for me, if I could afford it.
Thanks for the reply.
JayDog, thanks, that was very informative. I knew there was something better than Nikon or Canon out there. I will
be looking into the k-5 II.
I have had Pentax film cameras, never thought much about
them. Best pictures I have ever taken was with a Minolta
SRT101 and a Minolta Dimage a1, to bad that Minolta no
longer makes cameras.
Thankyou
Thankyou Nancy, here in the US camera stores are a dying
breed, because of the big chains of stores also sell cameras.
I live in a small town outside of Houston, remote to say the
least.
I do not care how the camera looks are feel, I want one that takes the best pictures possible, even though I am no
an expert, I can handle a camera, over 40 years doing it.
I have learned from this site that optics are important.
What I wanted to know was which camera "pixel for pixel"
takes the best photograph?
I appreciate your help, Thanks
My computer does it automatically, sorry for that.
The reason I joined the forum was because of the Teaser
that ugly hedgehog put out "which better Nikon or Canon"?
I didn't know beforehand that the question had been beat to death, otherwise I wouldn't have joined.
No I don't want to start a debate and I don't like the phrase "the best camera is the one you have" which to me is a copout. I have been into cameras since 1972, I have
both Minolta and Nikons film cameras, I preferred the Min-
oltas, srt101 in particular, much sharper picture than the
Nikon F.
Now to dslrs, again Minolta Dimage a1 took better pictures
than my Nikon D80, my Minolta broke and they are out of
the camera business.
Now I have a Canon T4i but still thinking about Nikon, and
I want know, all things being equal, which of the two takes
the better pictures, side by side comparison.
Which is better DSLR, Nikon or Canon?
