First the link you supplied comes up as not found.
I spend a lot of time on the North East river and upper Chesapeake the sailboat capitol of the world. ( yes I have a sailboat) . Maybe we can meet up some time in the future and see if we can find something to shoot.

For some reason My aperture setting wont go lower than F 5.3 but will go to f36
learning to use this I have changed lots of settings, did I change something to cause this? I have had it down to F4 at one time.( i think) Im using the 18-55 lens that came with it. I tried using the P and M and A modes, still all the same. Thanks

yes it was homasassas , probably 5 or 6 years and Id love to see your shot. I also have pics of the Hippo . I like that place when visiting Fla, so laid back no rushing around or standing in lines. Right down the street from H is a smalll bridge and this was shot form that bridge.

Great Pics Mary51.. I used to run Geocaching trips, Im now running photo trips. My south Jersey trip will first stop at Might Joe the 25 ft Gorilla, then to atsion lake and across the street to photo the old church, log cabins, mill chimney, the Mullica where u can walk across it a grave yard from the 1600's and an old train bridge. Next stop is a blue berry field to get pics of the rows of bushes, then on to Batsto to get the old buildings, the mill, museum old buggies etc, if time left off to Crowleys landing for more Mullica shots. Trips are free, you follow in your car, bring lunch comfortable shoes, and charged camera batteries. Bring friends, family , not sure if pets are allowed in Batsto, Thats in April, no date yet, next trip is to Ringing Rock in Pa to shoot bolder fields and to shoot the waterfall, no date yet waiting for the water to start flowing again. If your interested send me a message.

I have 32GB cards . I recently bought an ultra as they were on sail for the same price as regular cards. I didn't notice and faster write times. I can't respond to the 64 GB not having one.

On my d5200 I get about 600 shots shooting RAW and highest quality JPG. If I set it to just low JPG, which is good enough for computer monitors I can get over 4000 shots.
I always run out of batteries before I run out of memory card space.

Hi I have a 5200 also I would do as suggested and go outside where distances can be further and then see what happens. As I learn I set the camera in my $20.00 tripod and click a pic, change fstop click again, change fstop and on and on and then upload all the pics and see what I have and how it changed.

You can also pull the card from the camera, put it in your computer. click start, computer, click the card and click properties and it will show you how much you have used and how much space is left.

A good friend a highly sought after wedding photographer only uses Fuji cameras, My photo class teacher travels the world on assignments again is highly sought after and he only uses Nikon, recently at an event I attended, they had a guy that only does portraits and group shots makes a fantastic living at it and he only uses Canon... so how can you draw a conclusion when everyone uses something different. its VERY simple , I have a Nikon, so Nikon wins . ( in my book)
