In Manchester it is being requested that residents cut small holes in their fences so hedgehogs can travel between their urban gardens.

Stumbled upon this philosophy a few years ago after a physical impairment caused me to not be very mobile. I'd sit in one spot shooting dozens of photos and to my surprise there would sometimes be a couple nice ones. That exercise has caused me to enjoy photography more as I continue to develop the patience needed for this approach to getting a good shot.
It's always a surprise and pleasing when downloading the events catch to find a better one or two causing me to look for an interesting moment the next time out and about.
I do still like to create portrait type images, especially of a new subject though.

I'd go with the direction the dog is looking for what's important.

Seeking Hedgehogger's recommendations.

My two cents worth:
I've been using a Black Rapid over the shoulder strap for about a year now and find it works perfectly for my needs.
Included below is a photo of the attachment system that seems far superior to anything I've used before. It is attached finger tight and never seems to loosen (I unconsciously check it every once in a while).
There is a safety strap attached to the main camera strap attachment point just for peace of mind.
Please note that I very seldom ever use a tripod with the lenses in my collection - they all have the latest IS capability making a tripod almost obsolete.

Had to look that one up, thank you. Participated in an adult memory match class the other day. A lecture on the written Chinese language. The alphabet is made up of symbols representing actual things like man, woman, etc. Then these symbols are associated in the overall symbol with tree, food, etc. allowing a thought to be written and be read. I forget just how many of these symbols make up the Chinese alphabet but there are many!

...Why not just go all the way to black & white?

Although many images are good in black and white, I always want to see flower images showing color. The first one is very striking, thank you.

For some reason I like the 2nd from last with the background mostly in focus - don't see that often. Very pretty deep red and green with similarly sized pedals and leaves. Thankyou!
