Were you required to get special permission? I've attended some, but needed permission to photograph.

You never saw a woodchuck before? Lucky you! A woodchuck is just a walking stomach with an insatiable appetite for everything you want to grow in your garden.

My friends called it a marmot or marmont. Not sure of the spelling. That's also what the ranger called it. Maybe woodchuck is the common name? Never saw one of them either!

Lovely. Looks like my barn. Try doing it in B&W. I think you'll like the look.

I spent a day on Hurricane Ridge with some friends and found some new friends. Cute, huh?

Never got winked at before!

Had never seen one of these before.

If you have a Google account, you can upload the images to Google, making it accessible via link and send everyone the link. They can download them from there, so if you want them to SEE only, this won't work.

Wasn't it sad last year? I'm told this year will probably make up for it, but not sure yet - if it doesn't quit raining!

I don't use Elements, so perhaps this advice won't work. I find that applying an s-curve frequently helps in these situations.

This is truly lovely. The combination of colors is perfect, the design is beautiful, and the DOF is perfect. I also love the little touch of having the two buds cross over each other.

Nicely done!

These are my favorite bird to photograph. They're large enough that even I can get them in focus, usually. And they're funny enough to be really intriguing. Love the last image.

I went with a Canon Pixma printer because the Epson cartridges seemed a bit pricey. I really like what I get from my Canon, and the cartridges can be refilled at Costco so that cuts down a bit on ink costs. I know Epson is a really good brand, but I've never personally used them.

I've been on FAA almost since its beginning and I really do like it. Although you can do the free thing, it's worth it to pay the $30/year and have your own personal site to send people to as an on-line portfolio. Be sure to do their gimmics - contests, discussions and other interactions as that will raise your level of awareness with them. It's about the easiest website to use, both as start up and ongoing.

An artist's statement isn't a bio, but it might include some of that info. You should state your philosophy of art, or what motivates or inspires you. Above all it's short. One paragraph is plenty.
