My friend and I went to Out of Africa at Camp Verde Monday. It was a good day in that it was cool but sunny and VERY few people (I don't know how they survive!). It was a bad day in that it was SO windy! And, they must have 1000 miles of chain link! It's really hard to get pics of animals without chain link. But, the animals have to be protected from the humans, so I guess that's a small price to pay.

Enjoy! Comments welcome.

Fantastic job! In spite of the hindrances you got some great shots of the animals. I ❤️ the white 🐅! I look forward to viewing your work, AzPicLady.

I scanned this just recently, but I took this picture in 2004. We had moved into this house a year earlier and were doing some work on it, when our then-one-year-old cat Velcro decided the ladder we had left out was going to be her shortcut to the second floor {I don't think she ever figured out how to go down the ladder steps, however}

Thanks for posting these humorous 🐈images, rehess!

Schladming is an International ski resort and even without lots of snow it has beautiful vistas. We flew into Salzburg on Saturday morning, the first shot was taken just as we got to the top of the airport car park ramp, the second one through the car windscreen. Hope you enjoy the views.

It's always fun to go on one of your journeys, Sylvia. If I was still able to travel I'd be buying a ticket to Schladming. And if I was looking for a home I'd buy the one overlooking the
river. You and your 📷 perform magic!

Here is a close look at the "heart" of the yellow daylily that I posted a few days ago. With summer heat upon us, I am trying to focus more on close-up and macro photography that can be done in a studio setting. This is a learning process for me but it is also a fun journey! Please download for the best view.

A beautiful image of the heart of the lily. It's a whole new fun journey to photograph the intricate detail inside a flower. It's been one of my favorite photo ops. I'm somewhat surprised you're
just adding it to your talents, Carol. 👍

We drove through mountain passes and then down to the pretty village of Halstatt. It is known for its production of salt dating back to prehistoric times and gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, a culture often linked to Celtic, Proto-Celtic and pre-lllyrian people in Early Iron Age Europe, c.800-450BC.

Until the late 19th century it was only possible to reach the village by boat or via narrow trails. The first road to Halstatt was built in 1890, partially by rock blasting. You can visit the salt mines and caves.
On June 2, 2012 it was reported that the Chinese mining company China Minmetals Corporation built a full scale replica of the entire town in Huizhou, Guangdong province, China.
We were aware of what seemed hundreds of Far Eastern tourists, taking shots with selfie sticks, ipads, camera phones and cameras!

The Evangelical Church was built as a house of prayer in 1785. Following the order of Emporer Frank Joseph 1, all Evangelists and Catholics were given full rights of citizenship and equality. This was the beginning of building the new Church in 1863.

The kitty walked up a long plank hidden behind the bushes to reach the top floor of a high building and was waiting to be let in through the window.
Hope you enjoy the set.

The darkening is definitely an improvement! Thanks for trying what I suggested. Those little chippies are so much fun to watch. They seem to like posing.
