Hillary and "common sense gun laws"

Hillary Clinton rants that more than 90 people a day are k**led by guns in the United States. Is she that concerned about those deaths? Or as I think she and Obama both have ulterior motives when they talk about gun control and us needing more “common sense laws” to curb these deaths. Are they really that naïve or ignorant? Sort of seems that way. Like most of the anti-gun folks they rarely mention just strictly enforcing the laws that are already on the books. If she’s so concerned about needless deaths, why then doesn’t she go after the tobacco industry where there are 1,315 smoking related deaths per day in the US (see URL fact sheet below). Or alcohol related deaths. 169 people die daily due to alcohol related deaths (URL below). No she would prefer to take guns away from law abiding citizens. I’m sure her “common sense laws” would cause the thugs, gang members and drug dealers to voluntarily turn in their guns: don’t you?

Pretty easy to see why Congress and other government officials are scared to death of Trump. He's going to up set their play house like a tornado ripping through a town.

E******n of your President

Democracy and the e******n of a president may be the greatest fraud our Government has ever perpetrated on the American public. The Merriam Webster dictionary gives a “simple” definition of democracy as:

1) A form of government in which people choose leaders by v****g
2) A country ruled by democracy
3) An organization or situation in which everyone is treated equally and has equal rights

This is a little over simplified but you’ll get the idea. First the individuals who wish to run for President register with a party (for illustration I’ll make most references to the Republican party although the Democrats have a similar system). Then the debates start in which contenders usually spout a lot of lip service and verbal flatulence but seldom say anything of substance at least for the first few debates. It’s kind of like a sparring match in boxing where the participants feel each other out. This gives candidates a chance to lie, insult each other with name calling, back stabbing, etc. and generally act like a bunch of spoiled 3rd graders. As debates continue if we are lucky, we get a small sense of what each candidate stands for. The weaker candidates start to drop out until we usually wind up with two or three real bought and paid for contenders. Then the real work starts for the survivors.

There are 2,472 total Republican delegates up for grabs in 50 states. Who are these delegates? Generally, they are not elected by the people but appointed by heads of the party. You don’t think there could be any favoritism here do you? The candidates then zip around the country trying to win delegates by participation in primaries or caucuses. Whomever wins the popular v**e in the primary or caucus should hypothetically win the most delegates. But how about Colorado this year? They didn’t even allow the citizen to v**e in their primary/caucuses or wh**ever they call it and awarded all delegate v**es to one candidate (see definition number one above). How’s that for democracy in action?

If a Republican candidate can amass 1,237 or more of the delegates he/she should be the parties chosen representative in the run for the White House with no contested convention. Well that’s not exactly right. If the omnipotent heads of the Republican National Committee don’t like the candidate who wins the popular v**e they simply override the v**e and have a contested convention and possibly nominate and select someone else as their chosen one (see definition number one above). Just the way democracy was intended to work, right?

After the convention calamity is finalized the parties (Republicans and Democrats) have made their choice for a candidate the lying, name calling, etc. continues and gets more serious as candidates hit the campaign trail vying for your v**e but now it’s the Republicans vs. the Democrats belittling each other. This will go on for months before e******n day when on that glorious day the public is given the privilege to v**e, and is brainwashed into thinking they are electing a President. But the bottom line is it doesn’t really make a real tinkers damn how the public v**es because there’s always the E*******l College (EC). They have the final decision and can and have in the past overridden the public v**e. Simply, the almighty members of the EC have the final say (see definition number one above). After all they certainly know better than we do what’s best for us and America, don’t you agree? Although this has only happened 4 times to my knowledge in US history, it really doesn’t make any difference if it was once or 25 times. In the final analysis our v**e is not worth the b****t is was printed on. The EC overriding the popular v**e will absolutely happen again unless the EC is done away with. If you follow the process on the news this could be the year they override the popular v**e again. What kind of democracy is this?

So my question to you is why should we v**e? In my opinion our v**es really don’t matter in this fiasco we call the “e******n of a President”. A more accurate description might be “se******n of a President”. I guess the only answer I can come up with is this is what we were brought up to do and have always done regardless of how un-democratic and unfair our political process is. We’re like sheep being herded to pasture. We’ve been sold a bill of goods by a government who declares itself to be a democracy. To me regarding this issue we sound more socialistic than democratic. Don’t like the system, some say talk to your elected politicians. I say buy a few, that works much better.

There are three neighbourhood cats that regularly use our outdoor patio as a latrine at night. This area has cane furniture, glass water features a juke box and a covered BBQ that are constantly crapped against and squirted on and it's DRIVING US MAD! Noelene made a large cloth cover for the juke box but that is now stained and bleached with urine. There is constantly fur on the cushions and we have tried everything we can think of to deter or catch them. I've put rubber snakes outside. Tried a sonic device activated by motion. Tried sprays and tried to catch the damn things. The Council wont get involved and we don't want to get a dog. I like most animals but this is completely out of control and driving us up the wall. Plus it stinks out there too. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

I v**ed Democratic because . . . .

1. I v**ed Democratic because I love the fact that I can now marry wh**ever I want. I now may marry my Labrador.

2. I v**ed Democratic because I believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the Government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t.

3. I v**ed Democratic because I believe the Government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

4. I v**ed Democratic because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as I agree with what is said and nobody else is offended by it.

5. I v**ed Democratic because I’m way too irresponsible to own a gun and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

6. I v**ed Democratic because I believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in 10 years if I don’t start driving a Prius.

7. I v**ed Democratic because I’m not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

8. I v**ed Democratic because I think i*****l a***ns have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away the Social Security from those who paid into it.

9. I v**ed Democratic because I believe that businesses should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.

10. I v**ed Democratic because I believe liberal Judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the v**ers.

11. I v**ed Democratic because I think that it’s better to pay billions for their oil to people who h**e us but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, spotted owl, gopher or fish.

12. I v**ed Democratic because my head is so firmly misplaced toward the south end of my body; it’s unlikely that I’ll ever have another point of view.

No trees, Spotted Owls, or Red Cock-headed Woodpeckers were harmed in the sending of this message.
