Well done James!

No one was called a Nazi, merely a comparison of attitudes.

IMO to say that people of a certain size/shape/age cannot/should not participate is spiteful and demeaning and totally contrary to the values a free society aspires to.

I've had my say. I've no inclination for this post that was about an event to celebrate freedom to become saturated by this discussion. Reply if you wish, that's your right and I respect that. I've made my views plain.

Right on. This is about opinions, not rules or laws.

Ah, so now you're saying YOUR opinion outweighs rules and laws.
A legend in your own ego.

My point exactly. You believe that people who don't fit your own ideal of stereotype should be locked up and not seen. Including by your own admission you.

I'm sure the 99th amendment that allows nudity in New York didn't have a rider that says this only applies to 'beautiful people as selected by John Frim and Skylinefirepest...."
Have a think about how narrow minded your views are and how those with similar narrow minded views operated in the 30/40's and in some places around the world are still imposing their narrow minded views on others.

Whoah, buddy! Naziism? Calm down. This is Attic talk; we can take it there if you like. I politely said these human canvases were not beautiful bodies. Sheesh!

You said people who don't fit your idea of beautiful bodies should not be allowed to be there etc. Your views aren't far from Nazi ideals. You should be ashamed of yourself. But you're not.
We aren't talking about professional life models but people who chose to use their rights to take part in of festival of freedom and you and others think they should be locked away from plain sight.
Think about it.

As in the Nazi attempts to exterminate anyone who didn't fit their particular profile? Think about what you write.

I am somewhat disappointed by many of the comments here, which totally miss the point of this event.
For those of you that have made comments of a personal nature about the participating volunteers, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

From a technical point of view there's some good lessons to be learnt from this picture. The photographer has taken it from a relatively low position with quite a wide angle lens, hence emphasising the natural attributes. Keeping the film plane (sorry, sensor) almost parallel to the subject reduces the wide angle effect so that the head doesn't appear un-naturally small in comparison with the hips., and by having the arms outstretched and wide and slightly back, helps not only frame the picture but tightens up the chest and abdomen area.
From a negative pov, (and forgetting the extra Sun) it also demonstrates the problem getting a level flat horizon when the water is separated from the sky by a narrow piece of land.
I don't know if WirtzWorld thought of all these things whilst composing this picture, though I guess that most of it came automatically to him from his years of experience.
Kudos to you WirtzWorld.
