I lost my best buddy a few months ago and I did go to the aspa and now I have Mel. She will never replace Teddy, but she is trying.
Google "a dog for Jesus" by Kipling. It is so moving.
Mel will never replace Teddy and that is a good thing. Each one is unique. The strange thing about love is the more you give away, the more you have.

We live on a ranch with horses, cattle, donkeys, 3 dump off dogs and the poodles we raise. From time to time, one passes away. I am the world's worst at dealing with death. I am truly sorry for your loss and the pain you feel. I wish I could take some of your pain but I can't. Luna is a beautiful dog and I get the feeling that she is a best friend. Keep her in your heart for ever, cherish the time you had together and know dogs do go to heaven.

Dogs do go to heaven. The Bible says so.
It really works. It seems to be well made and very sturdy.
When most people see a baby, they always say "he's so cute". They have no hair and no teeth. I'm 69 and have little hair and no teeth but no one looks at me and says "how cute". I'm jealous!
My wife bought a bug-a-salt gun. It works great and it is fun. It shoots table salt.
