The NRA has framed the issue of guns as an "us versus them" issue. It's not. Improved gun control is NOT about taking guns away from honest, law abiding citizens; it is about ensuring that a gun license is granted to someone who has proven they can be trusted.... you know, like a teenager must pass a driver's test before getting a license. As much as I may disagree with gun owner's and their need for guns, I don't ever think about having the government confiscating them; even to me, that would be breaking the law.


THe NRA doesn't serve the best interests of law abiding gun owners, they serve themselves - for profit. To me, the NRA is like someone you know but don't care for.... they come up and put their arm around as if in friendship when their real intent is to take your wallet.

Border security - yes; sanctuary cities - no; border wall as a solution - in your dreams! $25 billion is the estimate now and it will climb. Did you ever really believe that Mexico would pay for it?? Either you did (incredibly naïve) or you didn't (and foisted a lie on the rest of us). How about better, more cost effective security? Fly drones with an always ready, "rapid response", helo-based response team? The drug cartels have unlimited access to C-4. It would be in their self-interest to blow holes in the wall and let the Americans be distracted into unending repairs. Stop drinking the cool-aid and think for yourself. People who oppose the wall aren't anti-American, they are anti-waste and anti-corruption.

No honest American can condone such atrocious behavior in a person elected to the Presidency. Stop wasting time defending his lies, acknowledge them so we can get Congress to move off the dime. Right now Congressional Republicans are afraid of a vocal minority and are pandering to trump and his base. Such cowardice in Congress! If you continue to turn a blind eye to trump and be his defender, then you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.


Read the farewell speeches given yesterday by several Senators including Hatch, Flake et al. If afterwards you remain unconvinced of the danger trump poses then I question where your loyalties truly are.

10 year is clear without any ability of trump supporters to say otherwise. That would be like saying he never said I will be proud to shut down the government (two weeks ago in the Oval Office of all places).
