I don't think sanctuary states or cities is not the answer, building a wall isn't either. It is very easy to dig a tunnel under it.
I still think putting two thousand alligators in the Rio Grande is the best answer.

Burying about 10,000 land mines at various depths below ground in unmarked areas will take care of the tunnels. Another method would be burying a few long sensor lines below ground, if one of the lines is broken then it's location can be quickly be computed with today's technology.

Warrants are such technicalities. The rules are in place. ICE needed to go to a judge. Apparently they were either too lazy or too arrogant to do this. They are who you should be angry at. There is nothing to gain by pointing out how silly you are being, so have a nice evening. If I'm the next victim, I will be a victim of either ICEs arrogance or their laziness. It's right that you should be upset. It's sad that you can't figure out who to be upset at.

Law enforcement agencies need to work hand in hand, our progressive legislators have tied the hands of law enforcement officers across the state. Giving sanctuary to criminals is basically aiding and abetting the commission of a crime, harboring a fugitive, etc. How many more lives will be taken because of the sanctuary bulls**t being handed out by progressive Democrats, will you or I be the next.

Federal law does say one thing unequivocally about federal-local immigration cooperation: Section 1373 of Chapter 8 of the US Code bars any state or local government from passing a policy that prevents government employees from sharing “information pertaining to the immigration status, legal or illegal, of an individual” with federal authorities.

The law requires a hold from a court. This isn't especially difficult to get and is done all the time. Next time someone has their rights denied by a police force skipping over technicalities, that someone may be you.

Ice has to be notified and given time to secure the warrant. Releasing a known illegal criminal back into the population without notifying ice is far different from your scenario.

Regarding your cited source, “Hotair” is reputed to be “factual reporting” with a right-wing bias (per “Media Bias / Fact Check” - see below evaluation and link). I trust Media Bias / Fact Check.

Actually, being a Ca. resident I am familiar with both cases and simply did a google and grabbed the first of many hits that returned. Read the article and it is an accurate account, I really did not bother to check the source.
