Belwj, your Costa Rican frog is beautiful. I have never seen a purple frog. The second one blends well with his surroundings. Thanks to you and TraceyG for sharing.
TraceyG and ftpecktim, do you have any frog pictures? This little guy stayed around for several weeks before moving on.
Thanks belwj and photophly for your comments.
I particularly like the first two shots. I have never seen the pink ones, ours are usually brown and beige. Walking in the woods is one of my favorite things to do. We have a lot of fungi in South Georgia.
This little rain frog lived in a big planter. On this day, a pine straw was caught under his front leg. I have used this picture on a lot of birthday cards with musical notes scattered around and the words, "Let the music begin!" Maybe he is the leader of the frog chorus we hear on summer nights. The second picture of him is clearly a smile. He is pleased with his performance. You may use these pictures if you wish. Let me see your frog pictures.
The maestro is a frog
Did you like the music?
Pentax and Ian, you have told me things that I did not know about hedgehogs, Thanks to both of you. jean
Jack, I don't have a clue what the little fellow eats. I'll find out and let you know. Thanks to all of you who have admired this prickly little one. I've been reading entries on this site since early November, just had not gotten around to posting anything. I am a writer who enjoys photography. Can't say I have really arrived in either field.
Ian, is that your hedgehog? I really like the picture, maybe you will use it next year?
Thank you, John Blue and Soonerfan. It was a fun shoot!
The couple he "lives with" are in DeFuniak Springs. I live on Lake Seminole in SW Georgia.
Thanks for your comments. His spines are really stiff and sharp when he is frightened.
A friend in North Florida has adopted this unusual pet. I couldn't resist taking his picture. Where better to show him off then on UHH?
