Nice photos JWM! My wife and I just did the Durango-Silverton train about 3 weeks ago. A fun time with beautiful scenery and perfect weather. I spent about 6 hours of the 8 hour trip out on the front platform of our car sucking in smoke and soot from the engine and took 2 days to get that crap out of my system. I think we were about the same distance back from the engine as you were judging from your photos.
Thanks for posting.

It would be a big help to define the area of Australia you are headed to.....it is a very big country. “

“Photos” is built-into the OS and should already be in your computer.

I am running MacOS 10.14.6 (Mojave) and Photoshop CC on line. I have had no problems and I was already running the PSCC on earlier OS versions without any problems. Transparent and flawless is my experience. I am waiting for things to settle out for the next OS update as it is not compatible with the versions of Microsoft Office Mac that I use and some expense will be involved in updating. Besides, everything is running, as I said, flawlessly right now, I don't want to mess with success!

It’s not the CC subscription models of PS and LR that are the problem. It is the older non-subscription versions of PS and LR that have the problem with the later OS updates. I started to experience problems with the update from Sierra to High Sierra on my Macs.

I bit the bullet and went with the RRS bracket for my A7Riii and very happy with it. Very well designed and fit is perfect. Looks like part of the camera body. It is an expensive piece of hardware but worth every $.

I upgraded the OS on my 2 older MAC computers (2013) to High Sierra, and unfortunately at the same time. I have CS5 and Lightroom 6 on both. Both programs on both machines no longer work correctly and unexpectedly shut down, so pretty much useless. I am now forced to scrap my software and go to the monthly subscription model. I know the CC software has many upgrades but I don’t really care as what I had worked perfectly fine for my needs. Now I am sorry I upgraded the OS on both machines instead of just one of them. So beware on OS upgrades and how older existing programs may be affected.

Check out the Mindshift First Light 30L backpack. I use it with Sony 400 2.8 lens with converter and body attached, and have room for an extra body and a couple more lenses. Your 600 is longer but may fit without camera attached. Check out the dimensions on B&H website.

My wife and I did Alaska and the Galapagos both in 2016 with NatGeo/Lindblad. Both trips were awesome and we both look forward to more trips with them. Alaska was 52 passenger ship which is a perfect size. Lots of wildlife, hiking and kayaking as well as great food and overall good time. A little pricey but worth every penny.

Thanks. I really wanted to emphasize the sail boat and thought more detail in the trees would detract from that.

Agreed...don’t really need detail in the trees.

Good capture! These critters are beautiful but very destructive. They can totally destroy a tree.
I live in Montgomery County, PA and we were totally overrun with these things last year. I killed hundreds of them on the side of my house with a fly swatter. They were everywhere. Have not seen nearly as many so far this year...maybe too early in the season right now? I am waiting to get swamped with them but hope that does not happen. I need to stock-up on shells for my double barrel 12 ga but I’m a bit concerned that may be a bit overkill and tough on the side of my house!

Very nice set. Just don't ever corner a coon, they can be very hard to kill.

Why would you want to kill one? Just shoot it with a camera.
