I agree with you but you have to understand that many people on this forum are not from the United States and speak a different "proper" English than we do.

I would also point out that the problems you speak of can be found on any "news" web site written by so-called professional writers. Those are the ones that make my head explode.

I was just there last week. Rode from Stauton down to Ashville and then explored Chimney Rock, Pisgah Forest and DuPont Forest in North Carolina. It is almost impossible to find a bad spot to photograph. I even got some great photos from the rest stops on highway 26.

I am also 67, but I taught computers for 15 years. I have also decided that one more increase from the cable company is going to find me pulling the plug. Everything I need is on the internet for free or almost free. I only have to deal with the cost of the internect connection.

There are basically two ways to watch video on the internet. One is to download the video to a temporary file on your computer and then watch it. The other is to "stream" the video. In other words, the video downloads to a buffer as you watch it. Almost all video sites such as YouTube stream their video now. In order to watch internet video on a regular TV you need some sort of interface like the Roku. You can buy it from them directly at: http://www.roku.com/roku-products?gclid=CKua79iI0K8CFQTd4AodcTlOIg

Most of the standard channels stream their shows online a day or so after they have been on regular broadcast. The major exception is CBS. Something about protecting syndication revenue. NetFlix, Hulu, ITunes, Amazon, and YouTube all have subscription or pay as you go viewing of any movie or TV show you can think of. It is actually cheaper to by an entire season of a show like Dexter from ITunes than it is to buy the Showtime service.

I have been looking for a manual for my Canon XL2 forever. Your link found my manual in about 1 minute. Thank you for an extremely valuable link.

After looking at some of the photos already posted, I feel a little left out. My home is just outside Philadelphia and we do not have exotic wildlife like you folks. Most of our wildlife wear body armor, carry weapons and have radar detectors to warn of approaching vehicles. I have to go to a museum to identify the animals in your photos.

The car insurance is partially avoidable. I don't have to own a car! Not owning a car is inconvenient, but I can use a taxi, bus, subway, rail rent a car or ride a bike: Hell, I can even get a ride from a friend if I need one. It's about choices and one has a lot of them.
The health insurance tax would be absolutely unavoidable. Health insurance is mandatory. The IRS would be responsible for making sure everyone has health insurance, and taxing those who are lacking insurance.
Oh; Unless I were one of O's select group of unions and big corporation donors who have been allowed to opt-out

Gosh it would bad to save thousands of dollars and get better health care.

Xseabee is correct in his arugment. However I would add a little known fact: Car insurance is not required in every state for every driver. You can also avoid purchasing car insurance in most states if you can prove you have the money to pay for the cost of an accident. It is called the financial responsibility clause. Most large corporations self insure based on this clause. Liberals are not big fans of individual responsibility.

People voted for Health Insurance Reform in the last several elections. They did not vote for Health Insurance Takeover. What happens to the thousands of people put out of work when this unconstitutional law destroys the existing system? You also need to look at why health care is so expensive. A minor amount of research will show that the largest influence on the cost of healthcare is government regulation. In short, the government can reform healthcare and make it better by getting out of the way.

The original question regarded the quality of the published photo. What I'm saying is that when you publish the photo to the web there is no difference in the quality of the photo. The full frame gives you more content than the crop. Just as the wide angle gives you more content than the telephoto gives you. But once you make them both 72dpi (the web standard) there is no difference in the quality.

I use a Canon 5d MK II and a Nikon D90, The full frame caputres more of the scene but since online photos are posted at 72dpi or 96dpi there is no difference between the full frame and the crop frame. As MT pointed out the primary and major difference is in printing.

I can't believe you are serious. I use a Canon 5d and the images (raw format) are 60" wide coming out of the camera. The image quality at 24 mp is good enough to print any size I desire.

My Nikon d70 and d90 produce more than adaqate quality for any online image work.

Film does produce a better image, but the cost, time, difficulty of processing, and conversion to on-screen formats make it just not worth the effort.
