Lots of beauty to shoot in that area. Was there in 2016 for military reunion..Beautiful.
I replaced my Canon 40D with the Canon 70D and I am very happy with it's performance.Does a great job especially with an 85 mm Canon lens.Best of luck with what you choose.
I used a Canon 28/135 lens on my 40D for several years on trips to Europe and also stateside with great results. Along the Rhine in Germany got some great castle shots. Now using the 70D with Tamron 16/300.
Hope you get some wonderful pictures.
Thanks for your response. I would love to visit Poland.
You are correct about the person behind the camera being the key to good photography.
Great expensive equipment does not make a photographer great. the camera is only a tool.
Where have you shot behind the iron curtain? I was with the Army in Berlin when the wall was being built in 1961. Left Berlin in 1963.Still have many photos from that time.
Have been lucky enough to return in 1998,2006 and 2010.So much difference now compared to the early days.
Looking forward to your reply.........................jc
Welcome to the group. If you don't mind my asking where did you serve in Germany?
I was a member of the Berlin Brigade from Feb. 1961 until Aug.1963.Still a member of the Berlin US Military Veterans Assn. (BUSMVA)We have annual reunions here in the states and return to Berlin every 4th year.
Have fun on this website.
I have travelled to Berlin,Vienna,Prague,British Isles,Normandy,France, and Italy with no problems.I bought a conversion kit to adapt to the wierd plugs.
I am a Canon man and I believe in sticking with the camera name.I bought the Tamron 16/300 for my 70 D and have thoughts of did I make the right choice. If I had it to do over I would choose Canon.
I still use my Canon Elon 7 to shoot B&W.A little expensive to process but I find with selective shots it is worth the cost.
I like rifles and shotguns better but own a Glock Model 23 in 40 cal and a Ruger 22 cal auto. Both are very good pistols.
I use Bedfords Photo in Little Rock. They do a great job. There are several listed online that still do film processing.
