Do you use it with any other program? I'm planning to switch over from Lightroom and PhotoShop as subscriptions are not for me. I would like somebodies elses take on this program!...Julian

Hi,
I think Luminar is an alternative to photoshop. I think you might be better off with Topaz Studio. I have discounts for both. I will send you a private message.

This arrogant response is exactly why I’ve rarely ever asked a question on this site. I really would like to find a site where you don’t have to worry about someone trying to elevate themselves by trying to make someone else look stupid. Maybe I need to start one-where I’d have the power to send someone like you packing. You were obviously not taught that if you don’t have something nice to say-shut up!!

Believe it or not, it has gotten a bit better.
I completely agree with you about some of the members on this site being rude, nasty and disrespectful.
No one should be afraid to ask a question. There are enough good people on this site to answer without being mean.

Hi,
I have been to both countries 3 times. I will be going back again in the fall/winter.
Both trips have limited number of guests. Non photographers are also
welcome to both trips.

Here are links to the trips.

Very glad to know your PS problem has been cleared up. Rongnongno's response to my post was unwarranted. I could not let it go unchallenged. For the most part, I believe everyone here in the Hog is here to learn, ask questions, discuss and behave in a civil manner.

Yes, everyone, whether they are new to photography or not, should be treated with respect and kindness. There is enough anger & crap going on in this world.
Thank you again for your kindness and help with ps. Maybe I will now download the update.

Adobe issued an update to Photoshop CC this morning. I must have not been the only one having issues with the first 23 update. At any rate, things are as they should be now.

I was also having issues when the first 23 came out, both in photoshop and bridge. I just go back to a previous version until Adobe corrects all the issues. This has worked for me.

Fstop12 I loved your kind response to Rongnongno. Thank you!
I have found in the past, some UHH members are rude, nasty and think they know it all. It is
nice to see someone with a kind response.

I had a very difficult time downloading Luminar.
I was able to do it, but I can't seem to download the new Neo.
Any advice?

Skylum is located in Ukraine. I don't know if this affects their software but it might.

I'm about to buy a Sony RX IV replacing a mark 1 and just wanted to see if there are any rumors or such about Sony updating that model. Thank you.

I have a Sony RX VI for sale. It shows lots of use but the camera works great and it is a great price.
I upgraded to the RX VII.

I have models 1,3,4. If you had these how would you compare sharpness etc

It is difficult for me to compare as I have never used the other models.

I do find it is very sharp, has the eye focus for both people and animals.

These are the most recent images I took about 2 weeks ago.

Do you have a shutter count.?

No, sorry but I do not believe there is a shutter count on this camera.
***The RX100 IV doesn't have a mechanical shutter, so the shutter count is not available.***

I sometimes find with Adobe PS updates, there are many glitches. I then go back to the previous version, wait a few months and then update. I have done this currently with both Bridge and Photoshop.

I love this camera, Sony RX 100 VI.

ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* 24–200 mm F2.8–4.5 high-resolution zoom lens
Approx. 20.1 effective megapixel 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS™ CMOS sensor with DRAM chip
BIONZ X™ image processing engine for superior detail reproduction and noise reduction
0.03 sec AF response with 315 focal-plane phase-detection AF points
Up to 24fps continuous shooting with AF/AE for up to 233 shots

I have taken it to Kenya, Cuba, & Iceland. I also have 2 full frame Sony's.
I am upgrading it to the RX100 VII. I am the original owner. I have the box it came in.

The camera does have signs of wear, but works great. No issues with the lens covering blades.
I will include one battery and a 32 gig memory card.
I am asking $500 plus shipping in the cont USA.

I do not like the song but I didn't read your post carefully. No I wouldn't give my work for exposure. I do not want exposure. I would give my work for free but not for exposure. The exposure actually has negative effect on me.

Giving and doing work for free lessens all the time and expense spent on mastering a craft. Since everyone is now a photographer, all the well known photographers of the past, can no longer earn a living at selling their images, so many are now doing photo workshops.

Would you ask a hair stylist for a free haircut, yes give them lots of good reviews & exposure?
Would you ask an electrician for free work, for a good review, recommendations and exposure?
Would you ask a mechanic, gardener, doctor, anyone who has taken the time & experience to master their craft?

So why do people think they can ask a photographer? I feel photographers should be paid just like any other profession.

Just my opinion after 40+ years of learning photography, buying equipment, mastering photoshop, going to conferences, taking classes, I could go on and on.

I was asked twice in the past for my images to be used in books. I did request some compensation. Once I received it, once I didn't. Both were from well known men in their fields, who make a heck more money than I do.

Sorry for the rant, but this is one of my pet peeves.

I never want pictures taken by anyone.

Most photographers don't want other pictures taken by others. Do you give away your images for free?

But many companies want free images, oh they said it is great exposure. That doesn't pay the bills, doesn't pay for equipment, classes, software to process the images.

I am a long time photographer, I have been asked to *donate* my images for free. I will get free exposure it they use my images. Nope, doesn't cover the cost and time I have spent mastering my art

Today, everyone is a photographer if they have a phone. I still don't give my work for free.

This is a cute theme song, there is some foul language but it says it perfectly.
Enjoy!!
