JohnR -
I use a Nikon 18-200. There is also an 18-300 - but I found it to be a little too big for my own taste. The 18-200 has excellent optics, especially for a general walk around lens. It's a nice size and doesn't weigh too much. I've had my copy since 2006 and it still works great. Worth taking a look at in my opinion.

I also have the newer version of the 18-200 and have never had an issue with creep. It has been my primary walk-around on my D7200 some years. Much lighter than the 18-300.

These are both Yak-50s. The forward aircraft bearing the soviet area paint scheme with the following aircraft painted in the WWII era Navy F-4U Corsair paint scheme - both likely painted for commercial reasons such as air shows, etc...

You might consider a Nikkor 18-200/3.5-5.6 DX. Smaller and lighter than the 18-300 DX, but you trade ff the last 100mm. I use one on my D7200 which replaced my D300. Great general purpose lens that is light enough to walk around with.

Vello is great as is AKWOX. I put an AKWOX on my D7200. It's tempered glass with a lifetime warrantee. Usually comes with 2 per pack in case one is damaged or you are fitting two cameras.

I have had USAA for more than 30 years. But I was also an employee of AAA at one time. AAA and USAA do not use the same tow trucks. Their coverages are very different for what services they provide and what they will do. Also - AAA is a club membership so what services they offer differ from club to club - it's not universal. What is consistent is that you will get your club's coverages regardless of where you are traveling in the US, Mexico, Canada and Europe. USAA bids out to the lowest bidder. AAA vet's all their drivers - both contract and direct employees (AAA has their own trucks in certain markets).

I have been shooting macro photography for more than 30 years. There is some excellent advise on this page with some lens brand preference based on their personal experience. But one said - you probably can't find a bad macro lens that was built for that purpose. I've shot Nikon since the 80's. I think other brands are equally as good and won't get into a debate of one brand overt the other - we all have our personal reasons for why we settled on the system that we did. I use a manual focus Nikon 105mm AI lens on a D7200 and have excellent results - but as full frame lens on a crop sensor - it pushes me further out. I would like VR autofocus and am personally looking at the Nikon 85mm f/3.5 DX for use on my D7200, but am cautious due to the slower aperture so may get the 105mm f/2.8 anyway. But is 2.8 vs 3.5 really that much difference? Likewise, I shoot full frame as well and like having one seton lenses to use on all my bodies.

Your two camera bodies are quite excellent and great for learning the technique of macro photography. I would concentrate on one lens that you can grow with over the years - I've had my 105mm since 1988, with the idea that you may change camera bodies sometime in the future. Nikon offers some excellent videos - many are being offered free at this time - that can help you with technique. Here is a link to a Joey Terrill course on macro photography: https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/photography-classes/discovering-macro-photography-featuring-joey-terrill.html

As others have also said - the 80 to 105 range is a sweet spot for various reasons - far enough away to not spook insects, not having to fight your own shadow, etc.... The most important advise I can give - just experiment - much easier now with digital than it was with film 30 years ago - and have fun!

Hi,
While I know there are other ways to transfer photos, I am wondering how to transfer photos with a SD card from iPhone to MacBook. I inserted the SD card via an adapter into my phone but it doesn't seem to show up on the phone. Please advise.

Since you are trying to go between an iPhone and a MacBook - ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and use airdrop. This will place the photos directly into your Mac’s Photo app.
