Let them guess.

On a personal note! I like both versions, but I lean towards the first one. The arch seems more pronounced and the eyes target the arch then the mountains behind. The 2nd appears somewhat cluttered. The eyes wonder around the image.
Just my opinion and I may be wrong

I've been out there and the clouds seem out of place. I go with #1. I agree photographically with you, the clouds compete with the arch.

I had an old computer that I took out and kept the hard drive. My question is how can I recover photos stored on the hard drive. Confess to being less than adequate in using a computer, Any answers or suggestions?

From your comments I'd recommend taking the drive source to the equivalent of the Geek Squad or some source like that and have them put the images on a USB target drive. That way you wont stand a chance of messing things. If you photos are family related it's worth the $$

I saw this on a recent Youtube video but I can't figure out what model this is, all I can see clearly is that it's a Canon. Just curious, is this a digital or film camera? The location is somewhere in Spain.

It can be any one of the Canon "A" series cameras, except for the "A1, black". I recognize the battery door as belonging to the "A" Canon. I have all of the "A" series cameras except for the so-called AE Program. They are all good cameras but my favorite for some reason was the camera that I gave to my daughter who was taking a photo class in HS and that beauty was the AV1 - an aperture priority camera. She gave it back to me as she discovered the camera in her phone was fine with her.

The Black A1 camera for some reason was not my favorite but that probably was because of my Developer that I was using. My favorite Canon pre-auto focus was and is my T90.

That's not exactly true.

To be displayed on a screen, or printed out, an image must be converted to a bitmap. For most files, this is done automatically on the fly as it is opened. There is no reason the conversion has to go RAW -> JPG -> bitmap. If you have the proper converter installed on your computer, it can go directly from RAW -> bitmap to be displayed.

The D7500 is overpriced for what you get. I don't like that they deleted the dual card slot and the aperture preview function among other things. I ended up going from a D5000 series to a D7200 instead, and eventually added a D850.

I would not prefer a crop sensor for landscape, but certainly the D500 should be top of line for wildlife and long lenses.

On the single card option of the D7500 - I wondered when someone would bring up that feature (less) option.

I have my original D7000 and two D500s. I also don't stick strictly to the Nikon lens only. There are lots of non-Nikon lens (particularly Tamron) that I like and use

With six grandchildren as my models over the years (#6 photos attached) the advent of better sensors and noise reduction has made life much simpler for me.
You have good lenses, and with the correct sensor, you’re job is easy.
My images were shot at at f/4, 1/500 and auto ISO, 1250 & 1600 here, then cropped to about 1/2. I did not use any noise, and printed the bottom at 8 1/2 x 11, the top 13 x 19, which turned out to be a little noisy, but fine for her wall of photos.

Why cropped?

Your lenses are fine, but your choice of format (cropped sensor, and D500) leave something to be desired as you are finding out. An FX body will give you better low light performance, and both the 24-70 and the 70-200 will be a great choice. Get a D700, or better yet, find a nice clean D810 - you'll be glad you did. What you don't need is another lens.

Basketball for grade/middle/high school is getting started. I have grandkids at all levels and truly enjoy shooting their games. It’s a great way for me to stay connected with them. Some of the games are in old very poorly lit gyms. I shoot with the Nikon D500 and have used the following lenses: TAMRON 18-400: Overall, I like this lens, but I really don’t like what I get in low light situations. Tamron 70-200: Works well in low light, but very difficult to get close up shots. Tamron 24-70: also good in low light, but I’m limited with the longer shots that then require a lot of cropping. I’d be very interested in hearing some lens suggestions for shooting indoors. Thanks in advance. Budget? $1,000-ish.

He's OK. I didn't watch the entire "AD" but I did notice the motion of water (amount of blur in falls for example) aperture mode is a nice way of catching the amount of blur.

So he's OK but it's an AD so consider the source and experiment

From my experience, SSD's are a more robust drive. Since you asked - just how big a drive (C) do you have and what kind of OS are you running?

If your C drive is getting that full, I'd be getting an external drive. If you are running some sort of Windows OS, and you are running <1 TB there is a way of resolving that problem

I see your comment about 50 years so it seems that I have offended you so I apologize and we can terminate this conversation ASAP

Regards, Al
