I have sold here. I ship after PayPal receives the payment. Be sure to factor in the PalPal charge to your pricing. Usually for a small item, I pay shipping. For a large item I will split the shipping 60 me/ 40 buyer but this is not fixed in stone.

So far I have had no problems.

Hi all, I have a few items to sell and would like to try here but I could use advice on how to reliably and safely handle the transaction. Do people usually use venmo/paypal or similar? Does payment happen first, then goods are sent? Is there a customary practice re: shipping?

Obviously the folks here are quite reliable I would guess, more so than ebay/craigslist, but I would like to do things in a way that makes everyone feel the most comfortable.

So I went through this search a while ago and settled on the Elgato Camlink 4K. It's brilliant and easy. Just make sure your camera model is supported. You can check it on their web site. I have used it on my SOny RX100VI and have settled with it on my Canon RP. But probably the first thing you should do if you haven't already is get proper lighting. That will make the biggest difference initially. But then yeah, using a high quality camera together with lighting will give you brilliant results that get you that much closer to the feel of in person meetings...well for everyone else that is!

And as mentioned, get a good mic setup. If the mic is not close to lips, you will get that tinny echo sound. I have a Deity vLav. It works very well. About $50. I do run that through some DSP software (rogue amoeba - audio hijack, loopback) to remove background noise like fans etc. My voice is very clean. easy peasy to set up.

After I bought the Deity mic, I was able to obtain Apple's a set of Air Pod Pros. They actually are pretty darn good and have noise cancelling tech built into them. I also run them through DSP software to remove background noise before sending the output to zoom, webex etc.

I am curious which LG monitor you have and how it "just doesn't cut it for photoshop". I have no experience with EIZO or BenQ, but I have an Xrite i1pro and have calibrated my LG 4K HDR 27" IPS. It has 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz resolution. As far as gamut, I am not sure what it supports.

I am pretty naive to the higher end monitors and wouild love to know a little more. My main use case is going to be post processing many of the photos of my Thailand trips for mounting on the wall. I want my efforts to be well-represented when printed.

So my monitor specs say 99% sRGB but I am unable to find anything about the Adobe RGB. I am admittedly very naive about this and only just now learning details. My goal is pretty simple: Take some of my nicer shots and have prints made for my wall. I am reasonably well discerning, but by no means expert in this area.

Thanks to all who have taken time to respond. So very much appreciated!

Happy Holidays!

So I am intending to send out some images of my many trips to Thailand to have printed and put on the wall of my home. Sounds like it would be advisable for me to calibrate my monitor? I have a macbook pro touchbar with retina display but nearly all of my post processing is done while using an external monitor. 27" 4k OLED (LG 27UD69P). So something like color munki or i1displayPro would be advisable?
