Monitor for Photoshop

Currently have EIZO ColorEdgeCG241W and have had it for several years and it is slowly dying. I have a LG but just doesn't cut it for photoshop. I use Xrite i1PRO to profile the monitors and the colors are not the same when you slide a picture from one to the other. I am looking to replace the LG with something as good or better than the EIZO. My back ground is in engineering so I understand if you are happy with 80% of something it is going to cost you X but if you want 100% it can cost any where from 2X and up.

If I were you, I'd go with another EIZO. Perhaps if you were to get two, one to replace the aging one you currently have, you might get a deal.

I also had a dying Eizo monitor. When I searched for monitors for photography, the one that kept coming up with great reviews was the BenQ Sw271. I got one, and I am very happy with it. Seems to have Eizo performance at a lower price (but still not cheap).

I am curious which LG monitor you have and how it "just doesn't cut it for photoshop". I have no experience with EIZO or BenQ, but I have an Xrite i1pro and have calibrated my LG 4K HDR 27" IPS. It has 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz resolution. As far as gamut, I am not sure what it supports.

I am pretty naive to the higher end monitors and wouild love to know a little more. My main use case is going to be post processing many of the photos of my Thailand trips for mounting on the wall. I want my efforts to be well-represented when printed.

I use an Asus Pro Art monitor. It is Adobe RGB calibrated. Performs flawlessly but Not Cheap! I find a calibrated monitor make the printed image look like what you see on your monitor.

I use an Asus Pro Art monitor. They are calibrated to Adobe RGB. Makes my printed images match what you see on your monitor. Not Cheap but worth it.

I use a iMacPro AND a mac-specific LG monitor. Both are excellent and match closely. Both are great for pp work. IMHO. Best of luck.

I agree, I purchased the Ben Q SW320 and it was one of best purchases.
