you also might want to consider a used camera and lens from MPB or KEH. Very good quality and much cheaper. You can also get good quality equipment from Adorama and B & H. That way you won't be out of a ton of cash if he does not take to photography.
my Canon lens all have image stabilization. No in body stabilization. i turn it of on my tripods. Should I turn it off on my mono pod or should I leave in on?
If you are into hiking check out the Mahana Coble at the top of Bousquet Mountian in Pittsfield. Great views.
The best lenses that i have ever owned are the Canon 24-105 f4L bought used stays on my camera 80% of the time and Canon 70-200 f4L also bought used. These lenses pair up well with my Canon 7d mkII. Buying used allowed me to afford some very nice glass that i might not otherwise be able to afford and they work very nicely.
Just by what you can afford. You can get some pretty good tripod and ball head combos without breaking your wallet.
That's ok. It will make easier for me to buy good used gear at a good price. I am a Canon shutter and i am starting to see some good prices on nice lenses and camera body. I am at the point in my life that i don't want in spend the money on changing to a new system.
Let them keep raising prices. I will continue to buy used equipment from KEH OR MPB. I get good quality and and have never had a problem and save a nice bit of change.
Any day you can get outside and shoot is a great day. Even if you don't get some great shots that day it sets you for what could come the next day. Every day take it as practice or a day to learn how to take better shots or learn something new about your equipment.
I have the fire 10 and it's just ok. I have not used an Apple tablet, but i'm sure it's tons better than anything amizon puts out. My old samsung tablet is better that the amazon.
I have a smaller Epson printer that i use for letter size prints, anything bigger I send out to Mpix or Printique or some outher print house. I find the price of having a very high quality printer to far too expensive to have in the house.
I have never bought used equipment from Adorama. I have only bought new stuff from them and they have always been good to me. I by my used stuff from KEH and MBP, these two places have also done right by me. So far none of the above have given me any reason to not to do business with them. Hope you get your issues taken care of so you can move on.
You might like to ride up the tram a Canon Mountian. Lot fun and great views, right off rt. 93. And simply ride up 93 and you will find something of intrest to take photos of. Have a great time.
I have a Canon 70-200 f4 L zoom lens. Could a Tiffen haze filter cause a soft focus issue. The Photos seem to be sharp without the filter, but are very soft with the filter on. My question is has anybody else had this issue? I have taken some of the pics on a tripod and hand held. could it be a bad filter? I have had good results in past with tiffen filters on my other lenses in the past. The Lens is hooked up to a Canon 7d MKII.
Thanks for any help.
I use one on my Canon 7d mk2 and get great results. I bought my lens used from MPB and save a fair amount of money. I like it very much.
I will not usually order photo stuff from Amazon, I have had problems with some the items ordered. But, have never had an issue with B &H or Adorama. I have always received what i ordered in good shape and on or about when they said it should arrive.
