Unfortunately, Stan, one's choices are only "null and void" if not acted on, thus not "chosen". Once an action is taken there are consequences - good or bad or neutral. Speed limits are regularly disregarded, sometimes with disastrous results.

According to Scripture, God made mankind able to make and act on good and bad choices. Society promulgates laws to reign in bad choices and bad actions. In no society on the planet does that work 100 per cent.

Not "options", Paul, "realities"! Usually only one is a choice... the other results from coercion!

I believe that in a free and just society people exercise their rights with choices that do not infringe on the rights of others.

Being ELECTED to office, a sheriff is the highest law enforcement officer in the land!

Here's a grammatically more apt rewrite:

Russ and Sam, two friends, met in the park every day to feed the pigeons, watch the squirrels and discuss world problems. One day Russ didn't show up. Sam didn't think much about it, figuring maybe he had a cold or something. But after Russ hadn't shown up for a week or so, Sam really got worried, and wanted to check on him. However, since the only times they had ever met was at the park, Sam didn't know where Russ lived, so he couldn't find out what had happened to him.

After a month had passed, Sam figured he had seen the last of Russ, but then one day, Sam visited the park and -- lo and behold -- waiting at their accustomed meeting spot, there sat Russ!

Sam was very excited and happy to see him, and he told him so. Then he demanded, "For crying out loud Russ, what in the world happened to you?"

Russ replied, 'I have been in jail.’

"Jail!" cried Sam. "What in the world for?"

"Well," said Russ, "You remember Sue, that cute little blonde waitress at the coffee shop where I sometimes go?'

"Yeah," said Sam. "I remember her. What about her?'

"Well, one day she filed rape charges against me; and, at 89 years old, I was so proud that when I got into court, I pled 'guilty.' The damn judge gave me 30 days for perjury!"

"I want to drive 100 mph on city streets MY CHOICE. You don't want to be hit by me then stay home where it is safe Your Choice. The rights of the individual do not out way [sic] the rights of the group..."

Perhaps, but CHOICE and RIGHTS are two completely different things! Anyone's choice can arbitrarily outweigh someone else's rights. Happens every day; it's called "crime". Prisons are stocked with such choosers. So are hospitals and graveyards.

Two Texans are walking across a bridge over a good-sized river when they simultaneously experience a need to empty their bladders. Turning to the railing they proceed to the task.

During the process one Texan comments: "Wow! That water is cold!"

The other replies: "Yeah, and deep too!

That was more true when children didn't get vaccinated before age five or six by which time their immune systems were well up and working. Vaccinating babies with four or five concoctions is a far different ball game, with the long term effects just now beginning to get understood. One current study has found that vaccinated children and adults are about 40% more likely to get diseased. Other studies are showing pretty clear links between vaccination and autism in children. More research is needed, but also more openness about the results--good and bad.

I think we must resist with vigor the Bill Gates' manifest aim to vaccinate (even compulsorily), with his proprietary vaccine everybody everywhere to give himself even more money.
