If the ICC profile does not show up then it is installed in the wrong place or you did not restart the application used to print before trying to select.

As for paper I use Epson Legacy Fibre. This is a very heavy paper with a fairly smooth surface. I prefer this to the glossy papers, but your taste might be different.

Why App are your printing from? If LR, then you need to add the profile to those shown in the Print Module.

My bad! I have been confusing P800 LED paper settings with settings on Qimage, forgetting that selecting ICC profile in Qimage negates printer settings shown on LED. Guess I suffered from 82 yr. old brain, uhh, GAS!
As an aside, Qimage seemed to kick butt vs the Epson software I just tried. Thanks for nudging me to use my head!

For years I have printed using Qimage and have had fine results. Last evening I tried the Epson print layout. Both show ICC for Exhibition fiber paper. The latter with a tad better result. Thanks for the paper recommendation!

You will not be disappointed! AFAIK, Epson should have icc profiles for all of their papers and I would expect additional info inside the box. All Red River papers have this available. Best of luck.

Epson DOES have a profile for exhibition fiber, and it does show up in Quimage, it DOESNT show up on printer monitor, however. Thanks .

I'm a BIG fan of Red River Paper and presently use it almost exclusively! Lots of info on their website and you can call for further advice. It is ABSOLUTELY necessary to use the paper/printer/ink specific icc profile if you're looking for a great print and Red River can halp you with that. Best of luck.

Thanks for the info. I have several times considered Red River papers but have been sluggish in so moving! Am well aware of the importance of proper ICC profiles, thus my mild complaint re Epson info or lack thereof. Others have said that Epson recommended luster selection for using the paper. I know, I should be calling Epson, but have been "bitten" a time or two when contacting them. Again, thanks for your recommendation!

Have an Epson 3800 and a P800. Have a lot of prints up to 13 x 17 using Epson Premium glossy and Luster. Want to use something heavier for 17 x 22 prints. Tried Exhibition Fiber (Epson seems to provide poor info on using the latter in P800) . I've downloaded the ICC profile but doesn't show up in printer, so used Luster profile with REALLY poor results. Likely not a good paper for this use? Worked fine in 3800 for flowers, etc. over the years. Finally, (bottom line at last!) what papers in this size would you all recommend?

I like #1. Fence gives me something to "lean on" while I take in the view!

Thank you for the kind comment, Phil. I have been a constant (but quiet) admirer (lurker? ) of your amazing photographs. However, I become weak kneed with a nervous stomach when I peek at your climbing photos. Wow! Amazing folks! Happy NewYear to you. Jerry

Sure wish I could get a photo of a Kingfisher as well done as yours!

Thanks, ottercreek. I think I was lucky to get her cooperation.

Luck, and holding one's mouth right does seem to help, at least in my case!
