Even though I swore I would never start a thread like this one, here it is. My wife has a sewing machine, (if you can call it that at a cost of about $12,000.00) that will create patterns loaded on to it via thumb drive. However, it will not take one larger than one gigabyte. She has tried linking it to her laptop with a usb cord, but that doesn't work.
In this age of more, more, more, where do I find a one gig drive?

On a side note, my brother-in-law, a millionaire, uses an old Kodak digital point and shoot. (Maybe that's why he's a millionaire) His camera will only work with a 2 gig SD card. Can't find one of them, either.

I found both available on The Wish app two one gig thumb drives for $5.00 including shipping; One two Gig SD card $5.00 including shipping. Shipping is from China and takes three to five weeks but if you can't find them otherwise at least they are available. You'll find a number of name brand SD cards up to 2 TB at ridiculous prices because you're bypassing the wholesaler.

Color, only and always. There are only a very few of us who see in black and white, most of us see in GLORIOUS COLOR. If you don't think so just think of a sweeping landscape in black and white with the tiniest feature being bright red or yellow or green. Where does your eye go? And then that same sweeping landscape in color with the tiniest spec of black or white. You won't even see it.
Just think if Ansel Adams worked in color. (I know I'm going to get in trouble for that)

He did but he chose to use B&W for the most compelling pictures of Yosemite. Half Dome is much more dramatic in B&W

I have many of the same problems, bad eyesight, not as steady, etc. i’m Also a trained sniper thanks to the army; it was drummed into me to control my breathing and shoot between heartbeats. I use that same training when taking pictures with good result. I also have adapted some shooting positions to taking pictures. I use multi-point focusing and most of the time let the camera make the decision due to my eyesight, unless the back or foreground are busy then I manually override the camera to focus on the subject. To get enough light to focus I use a LED ring light on insects and shoot early before it warms up the insects

Many of the older sensors (My 3300 included) looks for a vertical or horizontal hard line to focus on. Doesn't have to be much, an eye, nose profile or such, if it can't find one it searches for focus that's why switching to manual works. Low light situations are especially difficult. Turning on the Autofocus assist helps unless you're in a sensitive situation.

Is the perspective crop tool chosen by any chance. That will show blank size windows. The crop should be the third tool down on the left column. Right click on it and the tool list for that icon will pop up. The one you want is the two overlapping right angles. I don't mean to insult your intelligence but that's the only thing I've been able to come up with. Once when Adobe updated PS they changed it so much it took me almost three months before I was comfortable with it.

Did you select a size from the drop down menu. There is a list of standard crops and DPI when you click on the left hand box. You can also customize the size. Once you have a size selected there is and arrow between the sizes, click on that that to toggle between portrait and landscape.
