You can for private use. If commercial, then you have to have a "property release" from the owner. Or, have an editorial caption and use for editorial use commercially. If it's part of the horse and not anything that makes it unique and identifiable as "said specific horse owned by someone", then it can also be used commercially.

We have centipedes close to a foot long in parts of Texas (including where I live). They are amazing animals, but I'm glad they are relatively rare---at least the big ones. The "funny" thing about large centipedes is that they can get you from both ends. However, they are very colorful. Just don't let one wrap around your ankle. Of course, all they likely want from us is to escape.

Gosh that's big.
Texas Big.
Any photos?

Thank you for your response Jim. I'm not a fan of "over cooking" an image either that's what drew me to your work. They have the gritty quality that I enjoy and would like to be able to produce similar results someday. Keep doing what your doing, they are lovely.

Thanks Suzanne,
Appreciate the encouragement.

A friend always tells me, “If you don’t stretch, you can’t grow!” You have officially expanded your repertoire!

Yes.
And it's "fun" too.

I don't often use a macro lens outside the studio.
It was fun.

You grab a camera while I would be looking for my flame thrower or maybe nuke it from orbit just to be sure. I’m in Va and a Wolf spider is about the biggest thing I have to put up with. Great pics though.

Thanks.
I did not know if they "jump" to attack, just in case.
Too many spooky critter movies from the 50-60's.

Nice images, but I'm just as happy he's in your yard rather than mine!

Yea.
Crawling prehistoric things give me and my wife the shivers.

If you research, I believe you'll find that U.S. tarantulas have poor eyesight and hunt more by vibration. Their venom is nearly harmless, but its abdomen hairs can be irritating to the skin. Given the choice, I'm sure it would have chosen to escape rather than attack.

I like your perspective in #2 and you did well to make it stand out in #3 since it seems colored to blend in. I know a lifetime of aversion to arachnids can be hard to overcome, but if you learn more about these ultra-cool critters, you might relax and enjoy your next photo op a bit more

Thanks Linda,
I've always been a bit jumpy. In Hawaii they have centipedes a foot long and fat. As we where slippers over there, they can be a nasty thing to run in to. And, in N. Arizona there's rattlesnakes.
I'll take the spiders any day.
