Mounted an arc Swiss to my 212 tripod...works fine....
Don't overlook the Canon 77D.
Those photos are fabulous...
Wow, rjay, all I can say is Kowabunga...
In the Louisiana countryside...
MT Shooter---thanks. I had not seen that.
rjay,
Thanks for the response and also checking for availability as I had done. I thought that I may have overlooked "someone", but apparently you found the same results. Even Tamron says that it is not yet available. I like the Tamron lens, and bought it in lieu of the Sigma for the tripod accessory, and I do like Tamron lenses. Being almost 72 but still young at heart, holding the lens steady at full extension for any length of time can be a challenge.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to find a tripod mount listing in the 3.235 inch or 82.169 mm category as not everyone gives the diameter dimension in their specs; that is why I asked UHH'ers to check their tripod lens mounts to see if anyone had a mount in that diameter. As I mentioned, I may have to make one until the real deal surfaces. I wanted some sort of lens/tripod support for my Tamron 18-400mm, but that lens was not designed for a tripod mount ring....so I made one that is quite satisfactory and functional for that lens barrel length/weight.
Again, rjay, thanks.
Thanks. I have a case, just looking for a tripod mount for the lens.
Thanks for the reply. I called B&H and they say they are out of stock.
Moderators, if this is in the wrong area, please move it to the appropriate section.
I am in search of a telephoto lens tripod mount for the Tamron 100-400mm telephoto lens. The only ones that I can find are in Canada (?) or Japan (?) and are 30-40% more expensive than the ones advertised in the USA for that lens (they are unavailable). UHH'ers, if you would, please measure the outside diameter of your telephoto lenses where the tripod mount is attached and let me know if your telephoto lens tripod mounts are of the proper diameter so that I can appropriate an alternate tripod mount. The outside diameter of the Tamron lens is 3.235 inches where the tripod mount is supposed to be attached. I would hope to find an alternative device before I have to make my own. Your assistance in this matter is appreciated.
jpringle, amen...it's unique...
A mermaid or siren, perhaps? A nice group of pictures nonetheless...
