Thanks, PGHphoto. I contacted Wacom who said there was no driver for my tablet because it was too old (they do not have those early drivers). I tried several of the driver downloads anyway and could not make it work so I am going to order a replacement. Your information is appreciated.

Thank you SonyA580. I have tried everything I can think of but the PC does not recognize the tablet. My Wacom is a UD 0608-R (Digitizer), older than yours. The tablet is connected to the PC with a cable that converts the 9-pin connector to USB. Perhaps there is something in that setup interfering with the transfer of data but that is the only way I can marry the two pieces of equipment. I installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the first software from Wacom that did not give me an error message. I have tried wiping out all of the Wacom software from my PC so the computer could find and load the tablet as in plug-and-play. I disconnected my wireless mouse just in case that was the culprit and rebooted multiple times. Nothing has worked.

I would love to use an old piece of equipment that would probably serve my purposes, but I think it is time to consider a newer tablet. I appreciate your help.

Thank you rook2c4. That was one of the tablets I found that should work for me. Living in a rural area without the ability to see and touch products, I rely heavily on others' experience so I appreciate your feedback!

I am in the market for a digital tablet that can do some graphic work and photo post processing. I have an old (20+ years) Wacom Digitizer but have misplaced the installation disks which would probably not work in my Windows 10 system, anyway. Unfortunately it is so old that it is no longer supported by Wacom so I am looking for suggestions for a moderately priced replacement. Any help is appreciated.
