While AI is an interesting technology in the world of photos, videos, search engines, advertising, etc. etc., and with a myriad of legal and ethical concerns, it is my belief that there is NO SUCH THING as Artificial Intelligence.

I have used AI to produce strange and weird images, and will likely continue to do so...because it's fun!

Before retirement, I was in the IT field for many decades, and back even in the 2000's, the term and delivery of AI was in its infancy. It was the belief then, as now, that AI is produced by humans, humans writing computer programs, and as such takes on the characteristics and leanings of its authors/developers. A computer cannot think, it is just a series of 0's and 1's, created by some human, with a myriad of IF-THEN-ELSE logic. A computer cannot have emotions. When an AI deliverer want his program to react in a certain way, he programs it that way...it is a reflection of the developer. Such it is with AI that has permeated the world today.

While the term and delivery of AI is here to stay, we should always remember that in using AI, we are catering to the whims of the developer(s). We should not assign "intelligence" to a machine that can have no intelligence.

Yup. You got that right! My grandson, age 6, plays ice hockey on a local team. He is part time skater, and part time goalie. Even at such a young age, the league makes sure of needed protection. Well, when he is in goal, the bag to hold all the goalie equipment is humongous...for things like skates, helmet, gloves, chest protection, leg pads, socks, tape for the socks. His family has to transport all in a bag that looks something like this. Oh, and the goalie stick doesn't fit into the bag.

I'm not a gun owner, although I do believe in the 2nd amendment for gun ownership. Anyone who qualifies should be able to own a gun.

In looking at this photo, it appears to have some kind of safety device, a round something, in front of the trigger. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to have that safety device behind the trigger instead of in front? ... so that the trigger couldn't be pulled?

I kinda like it. Very interesting technology, notwithstanding the problems caused by a good AI application. I would imagine that this VASA ain't gonna be free. Wonder how much the Microsoft "gods" are gonna charge?

Great photo! I count 17 lanes...didn't know that a racing pool had that many lanes. Is that normal?

Are you a HOG that even one time in your life you held stocks? Ever get a snail mail about a court-approved class action lawsuit in which you may be entitled to some compensation (of unknown amount) for some past misdeeds by a company that you held stock in? I get such snail mail once every couple of years.

Yesterday, I got one of these for a Toronto-Dominion Bank. It had to do with some misdeeds at that Bank between 2015 and 2017, and with a fund of $22 Million to deliver to such verified claimants. In order to claim such, you had to provide online a detailed and documented report (broker's statements) of every transaction for that company between Dec. 2, 2015 and March 9, 2017...that's like 8-9 years ago. I don't know about you, but my record keeping for things that old is highly lacking. I don't know how many shares I had...when they were bought...when they were sold...and if the claim is worth $1 or $1,000 or more. It seems that the Class Action Administrator makes it highly difficult or impossible for anyone to make a claim. I'm not gonna claim. Thoughts?

We are all about our perspectives, aren't we? As a Speech Pathologist, that would be a version of nodules with the same coloring. It's a beautiful image, especially the color.

Keith, however, is correct about posting, but since you didn't know, no offense. This is because others begin to react to that image, and the original post is lost. As for deleting, no worries, but you can always contact the administrator, and they can do things like that. The navigation/rules here are a real learning curve!

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Per Keith's response, I did submit a request to Admin to get that post deleted. Hopefully, it will shortly be gone.

Yikes! You realize, I hope, that it's considered poor form to post photos in another's post without permission? Some people get downright persnickety about it!

I didn't realize that. To try to delete my post, I went back to see if I could find a DELETE button, and could not find such. Is there any way for a user to delete a post?

... if I put music on a thumb drive and plugged it into the USB port would the radio recognize it and play the music? Thanks...

We have a 2022 Subaru Forester, and have put approx. 400 MP3 files on a USB Thumbdrive, and the audio system recognizes the drive when "media" (not radio) is selected, and plays the songs. One problem is intermittent however...when we shut off the car, the next start of the engine normally remembers where it left off, and continues playing from there. Intermittently, on engine start and selecting "media" it jumps back to #1 in the list...so we hear that song and subsequent ones many times over. We can however scroll to any number in the list of 400 songs.
Wish Subaru would fix that.

Gee! $1,600,000, and they let people get that close to it!

Every year at the Auto Show at the State Fair of Texas, there are several super-luxury cars on the floor, with fine velvet ropes (or even fencing) around them, so that one can look but not touch.

Such luxury cars include Bugatti, Aston-Martin, Lamborghini, Bentley, and more...most all such have price tags typically > $1 Million.

I use Skype on my PC but not on my Pixel 8 as Skype never turns off, even after you 'close' the app.

The only way to kill it is to go into settings and specifically stop that app.

When you say that "Skype never turns off," does that mean that if after a system startup, you never OPEN Skype, then it is not running, and the "never turns off" is not an issue?

Or does Skype start running automatically when you start the cell phone?

I researched further, and found that using the Settings of the cell phone, not anything in the Skype app, one can find Skype among the myriad of applications, and disable notifications for just that app. I did that...will monitor to see if I get anymore such notifications from Skype.

Perhaps an update to Skype (of which I am unaware) altered the notifications from OFF to ON. That's the only thing I can think of that perhaps caused this scenario.

Does any UHHer have Skype? and are now getting unwanted notifications?
