That is just great!! I personally love train shots that show them in there usual surroundings. Not to diminish the work of the photographers but how many "roster" shots can be interesting?
I will book mark your picture for another reason, The next time I read someone saying you need a full frame camera for landscapes, I'll send them here.

Thanks, Rich. Yes, I tend to like taking more interesting shots, I don't like the 'mug shot' look either.

The D7200 is a very capable camera, quite good for a lot of work.

The camera I bought from them as "mint" was definitely not mint. PM me if you wish.

Thanks. I know the exact spot. I worked in an orchard very near there at one time.

That old Great Northern mainline is pretty amazing.

Mike

Who's orchard, and time period?

Beautiful. Is that near Peshastin? Somewhere between Cashmere and Leavenworth I am thinking.

Mike

Between Dryden and Cashmere.

One of my favorite views of the BNSF in the Wenatchee river valley.

We had a cloud covered monochromatic day today. Decided to mount my camera to "Ansel" my new tripod and continued with play until the BNSF came into view. Processing was experimenting with tone mapping in Affinity Photo. Nikon 750, Nikor 70-300 f4.5-5.6 at 185mm 1/1000 f11 iso 1800. Photo definitely looks better downloaded ! Criticism welcome.

Great shot. Wonderful tonal range and color. Love the farm buildings in the foreground in contrast to undeveloped nature in background. Nice contrasts of colors, subjects and lighting.

Outstanding photograph! I like it a lot. Don't you just hate it when you come home from a trip, download an amazing photograph and then start thinking "if only I had done this or that it would REALLY be great".

It has made me rethink my habit of only taking one shot of a subject, much reflection on the cost of digitals vs the cost of getting halfway around the world for a couple of short months.
