Thanks on the information. I checked on the spider this morning and it and its web had completely disappeared. Hope it wasn't destroyed and found another location near our home.
Thanks for the information.
Apparently my initial attempt to attach the photo file of the identified spider was not successful. Sorry. I'll try again
The attached photo. is of a beautiful spider who has decided to take up residence underneath my deck. Can anyone help me identify this critter. I tried posting it on the spiderid.com site but got no response. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Thanks. My further online search indicates you are correct.
It was taken in Southern Arizona, in a friends front yard flower garden, in the spring of 2017.
In my initial post a few minutes ago, I apparently was unsuccessful in attaching the photo. of the flower I wanted help in identifying. I am 82 years old, very forgetful and challenged by the digital world. Hope the photo gets attached to the post this time. If not, maybe someone can advise me on how to do that.
Thanks. My wife's cone flower garden is in full bloom and continues to attract lots of butterflies. I spent a couple of hours taking photos and videos this morning before the heat drove me inside. We live just east of Stillwater, OK. Any photographers in the area are welcome to come and share this photo. op. Call or email me for directions.

My wife has a beautiful garden full of Cone Flowers which attract many butterflies this time of year. Yesterday the Giant Swallowtails were visiting the flowers and allowed me the photograph them. One of the photos is attached.
I also took some movies of these critters. Can .mov files be attached to posts for viewing by others?

Great shots. I have never seen this bird. Thanks

Today it is beautiful here on the edge of the cross timbers ecosystem east of Stillwater, Oklahoma where we live. My wife proped open the front screen door so our old black Lab. could come and go.
To our surprise, a newly arrived male painted bunting flew through the open door into our kitchen where he showed off his vibrant colors and allowed me to photograph him. A couple of my shots are attached. I then opened the windows and allowed him to return outside where he belongs.
I hope he decides to stay, finds a mate, nests and bring some more painted buntings into the world. If he does I will try to document it photographically and keep you informed via additional posts.

I use a free photo. editing online program called pixlr and find it meets most of my editing needs.
It is available at
https://pixlr.com/editor/There are also numerous free online tutorials which can help you learn to use pixlr.
Did you happen to notice if it had a bright yellow rump patch? I think that is a diagnostic feature.

I also think it is a Yellow-Rumped Warler. Where was photo. taken and what time of year?

I use the online version of pixlr. You can also download it if you want. It is free. To use it your files need to be in .jpg format. Basic editing is relatively easy. It also provides some more complex functions as you progress. Give it a try. I think it might be just what you want.
