Yes thanks, works for the R5 raw files but not supported for the R3...they have same file name but are somehow different.

Yes, just checked and the R3 cRAW files are 16MB and the converted TIFFs are a whopping 144MB. Never would have guessed that. Yes I did convey to 16bit and could still convert to 8bit to see if quality loss, but have not yet. Will try a few since conversion takes 20sec/file.
Thanks again and HNY.

Yes I read the same review, almost impossible to tell the difference....until I tried to edit the files. And again, we are talking about the cRAW files that have been converted to TIFF's. Maybe I just need to wait until COP supports the R3 RAW files (or Adobe RAW file converter).
Thanks

Thanks for response.
Not mentioned...so I put the above out on COP support forum...so waiting.
However, COP is really dealing with a TIFF from the converted CRAW file.

Have shot RAW CR3 for years without a second thought...and no problems using Capture One software.
A Youtube Guru says he only shoots CRAW and said there are no downsides, and loved reduced storage issues and faster rendering time.
So when some fantastic hummer ops presented themselves few days ago I decided to go all in with CRAW.
Of the 4-5 keepers what I found (using Capture One) was that the enhancement sliders (sharpness, shadows, hi lights, etc) had almost no noticeable effect.
Is this because these were CRAW and not RAW files and is this THE BIG DOWNSIDE WHICH, OF COURSE, IT IS.
By the way, as you probably know, nobody yet supports R3 raw files so i first converted to TIFF using Canon DPP.
PREVIOUSLY, I shot R3 RAW and had full control of converted TIFFs using all sliders in Capture One.
Am I missing something here (and sorry to be so wordy)???

Switched from Aperture to PS/Lightroom briefly to Capture 1 couple years ago. Love fact that you can show as many as 12 images and zoom in/out on each separately/simultaneously AND rate each with color&number all on same screen. No other SW does this, though some CLAIM to... There are specific youtube videos on everything you need to enhance images. DOWNSIDE they apparently have not heard of telephones so you cannot talk to another human. BUT someone on this FORUM has answered any question I have ever had.

Have been using the Epson ET4750 (their first with refillable ink wells) for over 3 yrs. No problems and comes with 2 sets of ink refills which should last me another 6 months.

I did, that was the only way to import R3 images into Capture One. The problem is exporting.

Got R3 last week.
Love it but ships with no instruction manual.
If interested you can get one spiral bound in 3 sections (over 1000 pages) for about $35 from company in London

Am running latest updated Capture One software and editing CR3 files from Canon R5 & R3. No problems there but when I try to export final version to my desktop, no luck. My options are several .JPG or .TIF options but I always encounter one of two messages 1. could not process file or 2. the selected recipe will not be used for exporting because it is not enabled.
Anybody run into this issue and know of a work-around?
Thanks
