Yesterday, wife and I went to the movie theater at the Music City Mall (formerly known as Vista Ridge Mall) in Lewisville, TX to see the movie "Cabrini" (but the movie is a whole nuther story.)

We hadn't been to this mall in quite some time, and it was a shocking eye-opener. We remember it to be a lively, bustling mall with lots of people walking the corridors, and almost 100% store occupancy. As we got there early, we had the opportunity to walk the mall. To our surprise, it appears virtually dead. We saw about a dozen people walking inside. We'd estimate that about 20% of the store fronts were occupied, and those that were occupied were of cheap, 3rd world kind of establishments. One storefront boasted, "Nothing over $8.99 in the entire store." There were previously 4 large anchor stores, like JCPenney, Macys, Dillards, Sears…now only 1 remains, and Dillards was renamed to Dillards Clearance…one can only imagine!

It sure looks like the Music City Mall will soon be the recipient of the wrecker's ball, much like the Valley View Mall in Dallas which was demolished in 2019.

I hate these utilities that say I have 12,000 malware files on my computer and then say they can delete them - if I start paying every year.

I recently got a notice from CCleaner saying I had a dozen outdated drivers. When I clicked on Update, it asked for money. There are free driver updaters available, but I prefer to wait for the software company itself to let me know that there are updates available. I got a notice from Apple today, and from Epson yesterday.

Another thing - I avoid deleting cookies - sign-in data - as part of a clean-up routine because signing back into sites can be a nuisance.

We're in the market for lift chairs/recliners. A most frustrating experience. Trying out a chair in a furniture showroom is the way to go but availability is limited, especially of chairs for tall people. There is a much larger selection online but how do you know the chair is a good fit and that the material and color are to your liking?

Another problem is the difficulty of getting solid information. A company like MCombo is registered in the U.S., but is it owned by the Chinese? Red Barrel Studio has a nice looking chair but I can't find anything on the company or where the chairs are made.

We've gone to stores like LazBoy, Rooms-to-Go and Ashley. And I've spent hours poring over the offerings of online sellers like Amazon and Wayfair.

Any of you have experience with and advice buying recliners, especially online?
