How is the younger generation going to sign checks since many schools have dropped cursive writing from the curriculum?
A few towns on the South Jersey shore have banned them as well. Takes centuries before they disintegrate in the landfill. Not to mention the harm to wildlife and sea creatures .
Greetings. Considering purchasing a monopod. I mostly shoot sports - soccer, surfing, lacrosse, etc. Just wondering if a ball head is necessary. My thought is to just mount to to top of monopod as I move about and would use the monopod basically for support. Your though and advice are appreciated. John
Thank you all for your responses. Appreciate your comments and experiences as well as your suggestions. Been researching long enough, time to pull the trigger. Thanks again.
Greetings all. Thinking about purchasing the Nikon 200-500. Much of my photography is of granddaughters’ sports - soccer, basketball and surfing. Wondering if the 200-500 would be a good choice for hand held surfing photos. Your thoughts and advice are appreciated.
Love the top half of vw bug as a skylight or raised roof.
With three grand daughters ages 8, 9 and 12; I have photos from birth to the present. I am in the process of giving each family their copies on a flash drive (edited for those since divorced) for their photo libraries. Being the photog in the family, I enjoy attending all their school activities and sporting events. Needless to say, there are a lot of photos for each.
I try to learn something new every day. A day without learning is a day wasted in my book. Something I try to impress on my young grandchildren as they are early on in their formal education.
Wonder if the old timers of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s miss the gear they had fifty years prior.
I have tried it with the l-shaped coathanger several times on sprinkler systems and finding water supply lines under an asphalt lot. spot on each time. My thought as to how was magnetic attraction due to the iron on the water but that doesn't "holfd water" with the wooden sticks or branches.
I use both Mac and a PC. OS X is way faster, really no comparison. I attribute it partly to the fact that a Mac is made only from the same components that are certified by Apple, whereas PCs have components from a wide array of vendors with all need their respective drivers to communicate to each other.
Thanks all for your responses. I understand a lit lens is paired/bundled with a body. My dilemma is when looking at the different lenses on a manufacturer's web site is determining the better lenses. I assume, of course, the more expensive should not be kit lenses. From what I have observed, I guess my best bet would be to compare the speed of the lenses within a certain focal range. Thank you again for your insight. Off to the hunt. John
Greetings All - curious as to to what determines a "non-kit' lens. Price? At what level does a lens go from kit to "non-kit"? Other than focal range, what does look for in a "non-kit" lens? Thank you for assistance. John
