Take me for an example.... Ive been shooting professionally, ( I have clients that pay me. Its my PROfession), for a very long time, that being said, I don't know it all, and run across situations that are new to me and it forces me to update my understanding of photography. There are those here that seem to know everything, and yet from their comments its apparent that there is yet more room for learning.

I have so much room for learning more that I could rent some of it out to the know-it-alls around here if they need it.

No matter what you know there is always room for learning or re-learning. The more one knows, the smarter ones realize how ignorant they are.

BTW being a professional by definition only means paid for work, good or bad.

Whatever endeavor one is involved in, when you think you know it all, it’s time to move on to something else. I’ve been taking pictures for 50 years, and I’m surprised at how much I can and do learn.

Well, let's see. I have had a camera in my hands since I was 10 years old. Looking at my pictures (not snapshots, but not yet photographs) you'd think I might have been shooting them for a year or two. Some days I decide to give it up, but if I wait another day, I might want another camera!

Yes, and I have been shooting for a while.

It is conceivable that anyone would respond that they know it all--even though they think they do?

So much to know that you have to be selective.

I try to learn something new every day. A day without learning is a day wasted in my book. Something I try to impress on my young grandchildren as they are early on in their formal education.

Well so could I. To that end, I’m taking some tutorials through Outdoor Photography and some guides through one of the Fuji forums I belong to. Some of the topics are of the “refresher” nature—things I’ve forgotten. I was actually thinking of starting such a thread—but deterred by the “know-it-alls”.

I have some short trips planned to practice some of the dark arts.

LoL, it’s even MORE apparent from the pics they post, those that post.
I’ve shot professionally on and off for the last 50 years and I learn on EVERY shoot, whether it’s commercial or sports or portraits.
I’m glad to share what litte I know and post a pic when it’s pertinent, but most of what happens here is NOT about making ones photography better but wanting to know how to improve ones gear, but that’s so boring I don’t comment much!!!

With everything I seem to be forgetting lately there has got to be room for something new.

Since I’m self taught I had an idiot for a teacher. And I took it up just 6 years ago so I’m really just a beginner compared to a lot of folks here. I figure I might have learned about 1/2 of 1 percent already. I spent the month of January learning PS Elements which taught me that I’m a slow learner.

I wish we had more threads like that.
