Yes I totally agree - but you are correct, there was a family right there taking pics and another waiting so.... I think this is as good as it is going to get (it was pretty yucky and stinky such a shame) Oh well :(

Wow beautiful colors and detail! I have been hearing quite a bit about the "White Pocket" area - I will have to make a trip there. So happy you didn't have an accident :)

My daughter and I took a trip out to CA and stopped at the Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo, TX. It was cute but rather a disappointment 1. Mid-day and full sun (I am better at taking pics in the dark than in full sun - have to work on that) 2. Around the cars was stinky mud puddles and lots of trash - would have taken forever to clean up post processing. 3. Lots of people and had to maneuver quite a bit to get a pic without a person in it.
I wanted a nice memory of our stop here so I decided to go "pop" and make it more of a painting - what do you think? There could be so many better images than this at a different time but this is what I have ;)

I don't know how much I can add except this: Go to a camera store and handle all of the cameras you might be interested in! ALL of the camera companies make great cameras and it really comes down to what fits your style and your hands. I went thinking I was going to get a Nikon D7200 (I had a D5500 and wanted to move up) it just felt too bulky to me - not heavy just bulky. I then decided it was going to be a Sony and wound up falling in love with the Fuji X-T2 - it just fit me and the manual controls took me back to old school. It fits right in my purse, the pics right out of the camera are so good that I don't do as much pp, and to be honest, the lens costs per quality comparisons were impressive. But you have to love your camera enough to want to grab it with no hesitation so try them all out before making that investment. I did and am so happy!

We actually stayed in Williams the next night after we went to the Grand Canyon - what a fun little town and next time I may take that train up to the canyon!
