I have recently purchased a Induro GIT 403,and I am very pleased with it.The 404 seems similar except that it has a center post.

I purchased my Nest gimbal head in June of 2015 from Carter's Camera Cottage. It worked great through the summer, but when I took it out in January of 2016, I could hardly turn it. It was very stiff to operate because of the cold. Upon using it in the summer of 2016, a thick, gooey grease oozed out from it. It remained stiff when used in colder temperatures. I sent it to the Camera Cottage for repairs. Through communication with the owner, Carter, I learned that the head will ooze the grease when in a hot car, which is a very difficult situation to control, especially when birding in Texas or Arizona. To remedy the situation during cold weather, he told me that I had to add Arctic Fluid. After receiving it back, the head will move but the movement is choppy. Bottom line, I don't recommend the Nest gimbal head.

It looks like an immature Gray-headed Junco.
