More polish. My dad was a Tech Sargent on one of these over Germany. He had a lot of stories of the planes and men that didn't make it back.
Polished it up a little. HDR minus the grunge
It's my understanding that HDR is high dynamic range which means to capture both brights and lows and everything in between to mimic the range of what the eye can see. That's why you have to shoot several shots at different exposures to blend them together to get the proper range of lights and darks like the eye sees. What has happened is that people tend to push those limits to create "grungy" look and it got away from the original HDR meaning. The only thing I did to this photo was apply a natural HDR setting from ON1 and it came up with a natural range look. I didn't do anything else to the original. I think it looks good, looks natural and isn't over processed.
How many frames and did you have the camera in portrait?
The first one is a nine panel floating panel print hanging in Art Intersection gallery in Gilbert Az. It's 31x37 inches overall. I have a few other ones waiting to be put up in Surprise Art gallery. The second one is my first attempt at infrared with my converted 590nm A6300. It's channel swapped using Affinity photo.
These are heavily cropped. I kept trying to sneak up on them behind the lower edge of the window and every time I did they would fly away. There were two of them. By the time I saw them the cat had been cut in half, a front half and a back half and each one had a half. My window is dirty too.
I walk around my park and see a lot of dead birdies that the kitties left after applying their hunting skills. This time the birdie won and that's someone's kitty under its feet. Gotta love that face. This was right outside my bedroom window in AZ. The birdie was staring me down then flew away.
I've been using PSP Ultimate 2021 and I just upgraded my ON1 to 2021. ON1 now creates a plugin to PSP and I can open up photos in PSP and use the plugin module to use the full editing capabilities in ON1. It's pretty convenient. I really like it.
The first major storm I survived in Chicago was 1967. I survived the 1979 storm and all the other ones in between. I don't miss digging my car out of the snow drifts one bit. The only thing I have to dig out of now is 3 feet of sunshine. Some one's gotta do it. One year in Chicago I figured out to keep my door locks from freezing. I moved my car to San Diego.
It looks to me like the tree damage improved the shack.
It depends on how many you order. I think if you order a thousand I'll be elevated beyond a retail buyer to a preferred buyer at the printer. Sales people standing by on the phone lines.................
I live 25 minutes from Canyon Lake and I just started experimenting with panos. I have Affinity Photo and On1 and both stitch panos together very well. I think On1 does a better job. I have all the equipment and all I have to do is get off my butt and get out there before Summer starts. I went out with a photo group and we all took shots at Canyon Lake last summer. It was kind of hot.
