So would that rule of thumb change if you have IS on your lens?

Man, I have to comment on your comments stating what "everyone wants" - I think you are quite wrong. Many people do hear good comments from friends and relatives but want an opinion of some of the very qualified and professional and amazing photographers that frequent this forum, but to say you think people put up pictures just to get praise and no critique is rather cynical (SP?) and your comment saying that anyone liking their photos knows nothing about art and photography are rather harsh. Art and a good photo are both very subjective. Hate to tell you this, but no one, no matter how good, has the corner on what is a perfect piece of art or photo, and no one takes only perfect pictures, but some of us would like to learn how to take better pictures, and are not able to post perfect pictures YET - but we are trying. Ease up! I don't mind and I welcome criticism. Do not try to psychoanalize we people who post poor pictures, everyone started at the bottom and no one just picked up a camera and knew exactly had to make a picturea work of art. I appreciate and welcome critiques and that is why I wish to post pictures, to learn not to have false praise.

I always wear black dressy shirt or sweater and black slacks and shoes. I think that distinguishes you from the crowd as few people wear black pants and shirt and also so you do not jump out - especially at the wedding - you want to blend in more. Just has always seemed like the attire that would be the most appropriate.

Thank you for the information! And I looked up Nik Software Vivesa 2 and it seems to run about $80 - does that sound right? Does it work on PC's as well as macs? Cuz I have a pc not a mac.
Thanks for the help!

I will look it up - thank you! I want to eventually get Photoshop but cannot afford any more photography toys as yet. Thanks so much - makes a huge difference in the quality of that picture. By off camera flash - would I have to use a camera stand with flash - or would the camera bracket (with attached flash on hot shoe) work for something like that?
