Great that all of the old folks are still active and carrying their gear. My grandsons are doing flag football so it is the 70D with battery pack and the 80 300 L. End on the monopod.
The point that seems to be missed is that I still have my xti. It is 10 years older and weighs a lot less than the 70D. The xti is a 10mp and the 70D is a 20. You would think that with the advances the camera manufacturers would have found a way to make megapixels weigh less. Do not think I will be getting a 50 or 60 map as it may be too heavy to carry

Punctuation marks do not have any effect (or is it affect) to the meaning of the sentence to most people. As to the reporters, they are reading from the idiot board. Most of them are young and do not have the education or intelligence to realize that they are making themselves look stupid. I live in the Phoenix area and do not know if we are better or worse than the rest of the world. When the same misspelt word has scrolled across the screen every 10 minutes for a 3 hour morning news broadcast i think that newsreaders, editors and everyone associated with the show are not looking at what they are broadcasting. I guess we are a bunch of old farts and need to get a life

My mp weight comment was a bit of tongue in cheek. I take all of your points as reasons. When I choose the 70D I took it on specs. Never looked at the weight. My thought was that 10 years of development would have trimmed some weight off. I use the 70D with the battery pack and the 18-135 lens so I am not averse to cameras weighing more. It also weighs more than my elan IIe which has a roll of film and the winding mechanism.

My xti is still working perfectly. My only complaint is that I upgraded to a 70D a few years ago. The 70D body is substantially heavier and is 10 years younger. I guess that 20mp weigh a lot more than 10mp

Land of hippies, crystals, ley lines, vertices and now circles(roundabouts). Rush hour lasts all day every day. It is scenic but is now overrun with tourists.
