Hi, Bill,
The image shown here were not intended to be political. Just displaying two photographs and perhaps a serious lament about the life of our Planet. And about our life.
And maybe a little bit about the ignorance and a criminal stupidity.
So there!

Move to Boulder where this kind of moronic thought continues to plague our once great state. I am an ecologist so don't try to lecture me with your less than factual unpleasant yammering.

Yes indeed, global warming must be a hoax or fake news - according to our Dur Leader or donrent.
LOL

Stop it!! Enough politics in this section. There is the attic for this kind of disgusting rhetoric.

I am not anti-gun, I am an instructor. But this post is beyond acceptable for this thread. Has nothing to do with the original message. I don't find this offensive, just used incorrectly.

What ever happened to "if you don't like it, don't look at it". I don't like a lot of what is going on with ads in this goof culture but I can just move on instead of letting them rent space in my head. Just walk away.

No matter the subject, someone will be offended in this way to touchy culture. Guess Bill will have to find a safe room to get rid of his anxiety for such mean spirited verbiage.

Since I hike a lot I got a tilt head with a quick release plate for my photo walking stick. On and off in a snap. With IS though it isn't usually necessary.

Yes, I do the same except I always have the camera strap around my neck. I have a Manfroto 234RC tilting head, cost $39.00 on Amazon. This sits on a carbon fiber twist lock monopod that extends to 68 inches with a hiking hand strap and rubber pad/spike on the end. The quick disconnect plate is very handy, allows me to use the monopod as a hiking staff, and a quick attachment when using the camera. Very solid system. Works all the way up to the bazooka Tamron 150-600mm lens. Hope this helps.

Super pics. I love this area. Is this from the ranch off of Hiway 9 or 24 near Spinney Res.?? If so they have a lot of exotic animals, so used for "paid" hunts by rich out-of-staters. I love this area, near Hartsel. I have a cabin just 5 miles west of FairPlay and often fish the "dream stream" just below Spinney. If you want to get some unique photos of fly fisherman, the river is the place.

OMG!! You guys are picking on the millennials. Now they will need a safe quiet place to gather their wits. The more useless it is the more they will want it.

I haven't heard the word Langiappe (they pronounced it Lan-yap) in years. Brings back old memories of working TDY out of Slidelle). I have a D750, you tempt me with such a good price. I will keep thinking it over.

We had one of the early, portable FLIR units for the helicopter when I was flying for the Alaska State Troopers, back in the 80’s. Now it’s built into the aircraft. It’s amazing what those things can “see.”

I worked on the development of the FLIR units (way back when) which we originally installed on helicopters for use in desert ops. They were a large pod just below the rotor blades in conjunction with LIDAR (Light Imaging Detection and Radar) and FOS (Faint Object Spectrograph). The original name of FLIR during development was "Faint Light Infrared" and was changed during final buy-off with the gov't.
