Trying to keep a semblance of photography within the AI realm. My thoughts are, it may be useful for inserting components within your image to enhance interest and impact. I took a pano shot with my iPhone near a nearby lake and marina. Attached is the original. I wanted to add interest to it so added several elements using PS generative AI. From the original, you can see I probably overdid it but as an example I added yellow wildflowers, a paddle boarder, flying birds, driftwood with a squirrel, a chipmunk, mother goose with family, and a turtle. All these took only a few minutes. My thoughts are, if you have a very good image but it may be missing an interesting foreground or other element to make it more dynamic, then a limited use of AI could help. Current fine art photography makes use of textures, eliminating uninteresting components, blurring, painterly looks, etc. AI is a new tool to enhance photographic imagery. Making entirely AI generated images without photography can result in beautiful art but needs an entirely different category of imagery.
If you have not seen this yet, Photoshop has issued a new beta of the software that includes generative AI features. It is there for free to download. It has everything the basic software has but includes this feature. It is amazing in what it can do. It uses only the Adobe owned images in its searches to avoid any legal issues. I'm not sure how I feel about this but there is no stopping the progression. My understanding of this is that Adobe will eventually include it in the basic subscription but will limit the number of free uses - they say it will not be expensive but remains to be seen. I played with it this morning on a photo of Opossum Creek Falls. The falls themselves were kept basically the same but I let the AI feature change the forest area around it plus added a sunrise. I selected 3 large separate areas for it to fill in - either side of the upper falls plus the sky area. For the 2 wooded areas I used the prompt "forest foliage" and for the sky I used "sunrise" - it did the rest and gave a believable rendition. I did used a couple of the Topaz filters after the PS work to finish the image.
After that, I started a new blank canvas in PS (filled with white), selected the entire canvas and used this script prompt to generate an image “ mountain sunrise with a lake in the foreground surrounded by wildflowers”. Also attached is this image. This involves no photography - 100% AI

You could list them here. I don't know what the success rate is.
Ok, I was not sure if that was allowed.
Thanks!
Question for you: where is the best place to sell used camera gear? I have some Sony e-mount ND filters to sell. I purchased based on my larger lens filter size (77 mm) then obtained step down rings to fit the rest. I purchased a lens with a larger filter thread so purchased a replacement set. They are all first class.
I was taking pictures of dogwood blooms from our upstairs opened window when this guy landed nearby and posed for a few minutes. Taken with Sony A7rii and 100-400mm lens.
New growth on the Japanese Maple in our front yard. I had just updated the firmware on my Sony 100-400mm lens. Took it out the front door and focused on some leaves high in the tree. I edited to image in PS and TS2. Added a couple of effects.
The Oconee Bells are unique to the western SC region and surrounding area. They are quite small and grow about 2-3” above ground level and typically along stream beds. To see any detail, you would need to get down on the ground or a pair of binoculars - I used my macro lens.

I love it. It works so well to reduce the noise and to sharpen.
I have a discount code. PM me if interested.
Is the discount code a secret?
You adjust the long exposure shutter speed to reflect a more natural appearance. Otherwise you get into a more “artistic” image that many folks also like. Just not everybody's cup of tea.
Realistic? Do you see waterfalls as frozen in time? Just sayin’. 😊
Check out Pugent Systems. They are expensive but state of the art. Tell them what programs you are using, storage requirements, etc.

Btw; in picture #1, how did you get the top half of the flower purple while the bottom half is natural yellow? Makes a very interesting photo.
Looks like my response was put under general comments. Anyway, I used the neural filters in Photoshop. Need to play with the various effects and opacities.
