Flying into Calgary, renting car and spending 10 days in Canada. Planning to shoot from Banff to Jasper area with a VRBO house in each area for 5 days. Need advice on where to go for great shooting and lodging that is fairly inexpensive. Not against paying for a guide or workshop for a couple of days. Mostly interested in wildlife and landscape. Names of any guide books that might be helpful would be great as well. Going second week in June. Wondering if Harvey Heights might be a good base camp for the Banff area? Any recommendations greatly appreciated!

Bond falls is my favorite. Be sure to go up the steps and get the smaller falls above. There is a bridge at the bottom you can also cross and go on the other side. Spend a few hours, very worth it.

I traveled by plane to Colorado, 3 stops with plane changes and had no problem fitting my Think Tank Airport Advantage under the seat with room on each side for my feet. Very well made bag, with a front pocket for my 17" laptop.
If you get sick of fighting crowds, head to Big Creek and the waterfalls there.
I went from Nikon to Sony. Have the A9ii and the A7riii and my photos have never been better! Did not find the learning curve to be difficult, quite logical. Once you set up your camera you never need to go back into the menu. Have the 100-400 for hand held wildlife, and 200-600 for tripod. Have 16-35 and 24-105 for landscape. Still use my Nikon camera and 105 and 200 macro lenses for macro work. For what little you get for trade in I decided to keep Nikon gear for macro work for now.
